In today's video, I share an Omega Seamaster special!
As many of my viewers know, I have owned many Seamasters over the years and the 300m will always hold a very special place in my heart. However, it has been some time since I owned this model, so I thought I would re-visit the 212.30.41.20.01.003 with the latest version of the iconic 300m watch. I discuss the evolution of its design and technology over the decades and trace its roots as far back as World War 2. I also look at some key moments in the history of the Seamaster divers, from being the choice of the British SAS, SBS, to breaking diving records, and becoming James Bond's most famous watch.
Has my perception about this watch and feelings about it changed? Is it still the best does-it-all luxury diver under $5000? Watch to find out!

I always loved Prince Will's loyalty to the midsize quartz. It was given to him by his Mum and it has been with him throughout his education and his travels around the world as well as his career in the RAF and his life as a parent and Prince. He could wear any watch to match his uniforms and suits but sticks with the watch Diana Gave him. I respect that.

I just bought the Diver 300m midsize (black dial) with 2500 movement. Fits perfectly on my 6.25 wrist!!! Thank you TGV for covering "midsize" watches and inspiring me. I had a Seamaster 2254 years ago. Brilliant watch but ultimately too clunky for me at 41mm. This 300m midsize is a keeper. Can't wait to get it on a NATO. Cheers.

I have not adjusted the time on mine since 3 month now and is still within 3 seconds. This is crazy. It is my only watch for over a year and still looking at it and just admireing it. Perfect size but the crown shojld be a little bigger i have to use my shirt to unsrew it. In cloudy weather or sunny day so shiny u will get lost in the dial

I'd say the 2500 is not as simple as "an Eta 2892 with a Co-Axial dropped in". It also has a longer power reserve (48h), better than COSC accuracy (-2 +6) and a Free Sprung Balance. VERY nice for the most entry level automatic movement from Omega

Hey TGV! i`ve been watching your videos for a couple of months now, and i just wanted to take some time to thank you for all the knowledge and entretainement that you provide. I`m not a very active member of the Gentry, i hardly ever post any comments in social media, but i have learned so much from your videos, and your passion for watches and horology is so strong and contagious that i felt the obligation to let you know how much i appreciate your remarkable effort. Your channel is like a window to the world of watches, and you value every single timepiece for what they represent, either a Seiko or a Rolex, you value their function and desing without any snobisms, and your opinions are always genuine and honest, thanks to that, i now have and idea of what kind of watches i would enjoy or can aspire to have one day. Sadly, i`m in a country where inflation is super high, and i can`t even afford the most basic Casio, it`s kinda hard to believe, but it`s true, in any case that inspires me to work even harder. The only watch that i have, and very proud of it, it`s a Casio calculator watch, the one from back to future, it`s my beater watch, i love it. I`ll definitely get my hands on a Seiko snk809 one day, and maybe, in the future, an Oris 65, a Speedmaster, or a Tudor Black bay, i wouldn`t mind having just one of those as my one and only watch for the rest of my life. I hope that your channel keeps growing for the better, Greetings from Venezuela, Hernán.

One small point, the Special Boat Service is not the SAS, they're all part of the British Special Forces but they're different branches. The SBS is closer related to the Royal Marines, as the SAS is closer related to the Paratroopers. I only pick this up in case some think the SBS is like the B team to the SAS.

Nice to hear that the distinguished TGV rates the Seamaster as the prime Bond Watch. A Bond intro always makes my day. The Seamaster 300m is a requirement for a Man's watch collection. I’m watching and enjoying your videos for quite some time now, and I have to give it to you: your videos are getting on a very high level. This video almost make me regret the decision I made last year. I bought the Tudor Pelagos instead of the seamaster because I fell in love with that special kind of blue on the Tudor. When I look at my wrist and see the beautiful Tudor I still love it as much as the day I bought it, but I can definitely understand why one would prefer the seamaster over the Pelagos. Maybe if I watch this again I’m 100% convinced to go Seamaster 300 next year. Thanks for the great videos and keep up the good work!

I have this in blue, it took a few weeks to make that decision but I felt the blue is more 'classic' for the Seamaster. Blue = Ocean, Black = Space (Speedy)! Great to see the movement at last without having to take the caseback off.

Great review good sir! Wasn't really considering it much, but now definitely in play for my next watch. Thanks man!

Simply an amazing video, the sort of quality where I could easily imagine non-watch people becoming utterly fascinated. And thanks for reminding me to hunt down a 2222.80 after I finish university! This will be my first luxury watch, I've decided.

You really have a great talent for those intros. They get better and better. Also appreciate the history lesson for the Omega watches. Wonderful job, appreciate all your hard work.
