True, like an agonizing animal. If there is no sound in space, and according to the lore what we hear is artificial, a reconstruction made by the system onboard to better understand the environment, why that sound had to be so painful? I wonder if we'll ever get a plot twist where we discover something terrible about them, that we were always mistaken about thargoids, like that they were once humans and are trying to communicate something (never forget that they were peaceful in the beginning, when we encountered them they would just scan us and leave, but we couldn't resist our brutal insticts and open fire on them). Yeah i know... I'm wrong 100%, though something feels 'unexplained' to say the least.

Fun fact: that’s not the reason we killed that clops. This dive originally was to test the notion that just two shardkraits with premium ammo could gib a clops (destroy it without going through the hearts cycle.) This clops was one of our “victims” to test that notion. Figuring that Oreos spawned non-stop, and could be easily taken down with the large shards, was entirely accidental.

PS - I will also add, because all you need is to land a single hull tap to get the bond, doing this in a group is enormously more efficient ammo-wise. We computed this to go up to a theoretical 5.4 billion per HOUR … which is almost 3x even the very best-coordinated spire sites. Short-lived thing but man it’s crazy profitable.

@@Astyrrean Interesting. Any special precautions in heading in? We tested multi-person farming with the knowledge it was likely not going to work from the experience at Leigong and Taranis. As soon as I has dropped in on my friend, the local interceptors aggro'd on him. As for profitability: The figure closely matches my own estimates. Realistically, 2 billion/hour solo is your cap without synthesis (1B bond, doubled with powerplay). That requires an Anaconda with 4x L shards and 4x OC+ I.I. Cytos, which means there is no need to spend ammo on breaking the shields

@@Maty83. Need more data on how many people you can stuff in there before things go awry ... and I think you are better off with LR+II Cytos ... the falloff on those things just murders them without LR. Also those Oreos tend to pulse and reshield if you get THAT close.

@@Astyrrean OC works better because the range is unnecessary if you reverski, especially since I.I. is multiplicative. Meaning your damage for LR only starts getting better at around 850m. It does need your ship to be stuffed full of caustic sinks (3+ will complete a Shard-only run with plenty of spare time) The best solo method is farming directly from the maw since there is a cooldown before the Oreos can re-shield and pulse. I was doing it yesterday for some... Nefarious reasons I can't disclose yet and grabbed around 10 billion in trying to optimize solo strategies. Hence I can cite fairly accurate figures.

@@wakizashiyoshikawa6926 on my 3 run there were so many titans popping shut down waves I was only able to kill 2 or this.

They are awarded for placing (three stars, gold = 1st place, two stars, silver = 2nd place, one star, bronze = 3rd place) with your squadron in the game leaderboards each season within each category (xeno defense, combat, exploration are the ones I display. Other categories include Political, Trade, and CQC.)

Don’t know about gunner as multicrew is broken beyond salvation. But can also kit an AX taipan if you want to get some rounds in.

@@Astyrrean would that not be like throwing tomatoes at a brick wall hoping to bring it down though? i mean, doest the taipan have very low HP? im interrested in your thought though, would be kind of funny flying around in a taipan, always looking over my shoulder as i know i can be one-shot-splatted :D

@@fartex1 It's made of paper. But nothing is really shooting at you during meltdown. All you have to watch out for is the caustic clouds (those are a quick death sentence in a Taipan ... but there's always more Taipans if needed :) ). And all you need to do is 1hp of damage to get the full bond so the fact they have pea shooters doesn't matter.

Premodified shards don’t work. You need to buy the “old” non-modified ones, and personally engineer them for the anti guardian field shield effect at Ram Tah.

Not the pre-engineered ones, at least not in TitanSpace. If you engineered personally the “old” plasmas, those do work yes.

@@Astyrrean Wait; isn't the AntiGuardian-Field down right now? Or will this only occur after the actual Titan-Fall? ;) Asking, because the Titan is not creating an EMP anymore, after it went into distress-mode.

@@thespectator1243 you have to upgrade guardian weapons at a tech broker to get around the field. At least last I checked 🤷🏿‍♂️.

@@kronos48221 I know that. And - thanks to GalNet News and the BuurPit - I also know that you can not get that update for pre-engineered Guardian Tech. What I asked was: If the EMP-Field is down (since the Titan is in distress now), is the Anti Guardian Field down as well? You know... since the Titan is busy with exploding... . ^^ ;)

Titan is in meltdown. Hence the time-limited aspect of it. And ModShards won’t work there.

@@Neo-vz8nh I wasn't talking about the weapons. But the entire ship. You need a pretty powerful power and engineered distributor to handle Guardian stuff. Not to mention some good heat management with a proper power plant.
