What’s great about Bill’s writing in the climax is his childlike attitude, he’s the ultimate example of what happens when immaturity goes unchecked. The theme of Gravity Falls is about the need to grow up, but to remain a child at heart, and Bill’s ultimate goal is to have an infinite playground for eternity. Which is what Dipper and Mabel want, to have summer forever. But he’s defeated by becoming just a memory, an abstract embodiment of youth becomes the past in someone’s mind. It’s great writing.

Notice that when Gideon asks Bill to enter the mind of 'Stanford Pines' to get the deed, Bill ominously says '"Stan Pines..." but doesn't say Stanford. We didn't know this at this point but obviously Bill knows that it can't be Stanford who is at the Mystery Shack because he had MET Stanford and must of been aware that he was still in the other dimension... I don't know. Just a neat little detail.

Bill is that perfect balance between humorous and intimidating. He’s a reality warping dream demon but his whole character is founded around his hate for rules and order. As a result he’s an unstable trickster who can and will do basically whatever he wants. He’s like if a Jester became the King, all power no sense, and it’s terrifying.

+Commie The Frog Okay, he still isn't a villain, for us the audience. Lelouch is an anti hero (a dark/evil hero) who acts like a villain to "spoiler alert" get everyone to hate him and only him so that he can become everyone's one and only enemy. So yes if you want to view him in the eyes of someone in the story (that wasn't aware of his plans) then he most definitely would be considered a villain but as the audience or someone aware of his plans then we should simply view him as an anti hero, a "necessary evil".

my favorite thing about bill cipher was when he was reincarnated as a great horned owl 2 years later, was force to temporarily live with the pines family, kinda fell in love with mabel, had a redemption arc similar to peridot from steven universe (with mabel as the steven figure), killed his evil twin brother(Nightmare) in an epic movie style fight scene in the nightmare dimension, stole his power after killing him, causing him to regain his physical form, and became the ruler of his dimension. i really liked that storyline.
