One cold winter night i partied late into the night with my cousin (may he rest in peace) and when the night was winding down i found an MRE in the glovebox and being bored, buzzed and stoned we decided to do an MRE review. It was a winter MRE with beef stew, crackers and fruit cake. That beef stew was pretty good but that dense brick of fruitcake was BUSSIN!!! ive been singing its praises ever since. 😅

Pro way to eat em is mixing them like you do with jail food Warm up the cookie with the cobbler and mix them, mix the garlic bread in with the meatball pouch and let it sit in the heat aswell. Perfect!

Man I sure was hoping you would have done jailhouse twist on this. Most of them that I've tried have coffee creamer for the coffee. That non-dairy creamer and some hot water. Open up that cookie. Crumble it on top of the cobbler once it was warm and pour the warm coffee creamer over all of it. It seems like a jailhouse twist to me.. When you're on the streets for 20 years yeah it tastes good but it gets old quick. So you find ways to jazz it up.

MREs have come a long way!! I remember my dad bringing C rations home in the early 80's. We would take them camping. When you're in a tent and you're miles away from a kitchen, they were great! I got very good and mixing and seasoning them. Good times!😊

my favorite MRE from the newest wave of menus is the _Pork Patty, Maple Flavored_ (or something like that, I forget). the B box's breakfast MRE, menu 23 if I recall, the pork patty itself is okay, but the sides are _fire._ you've got a maple muffin top (delectable), Mountain House granola with blueberries (very good), smoked almonds (if you like almonds, they're exactly what you expect), you get a whole thing of hashbrowns (my favorite part of the whole meal). you also get Bill's Brew in the accessory bag, which is really nice.

Use to be in the Air Force. So I’ve had quite a few of mre. My opinion, the chili Mac is the best one. Take the cheese pack that comes with it and add it to the Mac. Hope u get to try this one

Best one is chilli with beans.. it comes with corn bread and jalapeño cheese spread. You take the chili and cheese spread and place them inside of the heated take the chili out after about a minute throw corn brewed in in place of cheese spread and knead cheese spread. Once chili is hot mix all 3 and. Bong apple tea

Try MRE Menu #2, Shredded Beef w/ BBQ Sauce. It's got a cobbler like he tried in this MRE. But you get a pouch with beef in BBQ sauce and a pouch with "Seasoned Beans", which is basically beans with taco seasoning. Add some of those two to one of the tortillas that's included and top it off with some of the Jalapeno Cheese Spread. The accessory pack should also include another packet of BBQ sauce or a packet of hot sauce. Add that as well and the flavors mix together so well. Avoid MREs from Sopakco as they tend to repackage MRE components that don't sell well. Got a few boxes of "Low Sodium" MREs and they just took a main pouch with some crackers and jam and tossed in some pop-tarts and a tootsie roll. Barely anything in it was from an actual MRE.
