Looks like this is exactly what I am looking for, something simple, can do free weight bench, military, and squats, PLUS has the Smith machine if I want to go heavy without a spotter, it's perfect. Good review just started researching, like your concern the pully system is the biggest for me too.. The company says the pully and cables has a lifetime warranty. it looks to be well made.

Dude I just put one together yesterday and I’m very surprised by the quality so far. Bonus: All the parts were packaged by step! Most user friendly assembly I’ve ever seen in anything. Haven’t gotten a workout in yet but looking forward to it.

Still deciding if i want to get stackable or plate weights. I think you answered my question about the difference in plate and stacked. I believe plate edition is good if i have to buy the plates and save money anyway. But im also conflicted if I want to do stackable just for the convenience. But you also mention it'll be a pain in the butt to move since we'll be a whole lot heavier. What do you think?

I put mine together last weekend and have finally had a chance to use it for most capabilites. I don't find the cables very smooth. I find them smoother than most home gyms but no wear near as smooth as actual gym pulley systems. I was disappointed. They are 2:1 but have way too much resistance on top of half the weight. For example, I can lat pull down 240lbs on it for sets... which is only 120lbs. 240lbs on gym equipment wouldn't be possible but 120lbs on it wouldn't even be a workout.

How long from the date that you ordered it, did you get a shipping confirmation?

How are the plastic pulleys holding up? The higher end models have aluminum, but the price tag isn't worth it jusy for the pulleys.

Did you compare this to force USA G3?

Just need a bench to do chest.
