When it comes to the “best shoulder workout”, you have to consider training all three heads of the shoulder. These include the front delt, mid delt (or “side delt”) and the rear delt. These three heads are what really build huge shoulders and give a “3d shoulders” or “cannonball” look. Although all 3 heads will be activated to an extent during all shoulder exercises, as shown in the literature certain shoulder heads can be emphasized by choosing the right shoulder exercises and manipulating the way you perform them. It’s also important to note that the front delts already get sufficient activation in many pressing movements. Thus, you should focus more on the development of the lateral and posterior (mid and side) delts in order to build bigger delts. In this video I’ll go through the best shoulder exercises and the best shoulder workout for mass based on scientific literature and our anatomical understanding of the shoulder muscles.
If you guys enjoyed the video then don’t forget to give it a like, leave a comment, share it with your friends and subscribe to my channel. I really appreciate the support you’ve all shown me, it helps motivate me to continue doing this and putting out quality videos.

0:52 - be careful with this exercise when starting out. Start with just the barbell and proper form - don’t go Rambo on the weights. Even a small increase in weight that you think you can handle may put you out of commission. This exercise can hurt your neck pretty badly if the movement is improper and above what you can handle. It put me out for a good week and a half with incredible neck strain (in the first week). I thought I could move from assisted seated overhead press to classic and I hurt myself on second set - with less weight than I could lift through assisted. The amount of strain you are adding through a standing overhead press like that is immense. Start with just a barbell and learn the proper form, otherwise you’re signing up for a serious injury.

In the literature they actually don't separate the deltoid muscle in "heads" but in sets of fibers (some authors designate as a muscle of even 7 groups of muscle fibers). When a muscle have more than one origin, but a common insertion site that means that he has "heads", such as triceps, biceps, quadriceps. So, designating front, lateral and rear deltoid is more accurate, since you are refering to the regions of the muscle itself, including it's fibers. Amazing video, by the way. You are awesome!

zdubfitness - Gradually start eating healthy. Don't just completely change your diet. Be slow and steady. - do 5-10 of warm-up before the workout to avoid any injuries. - slowly try to understand the workout science, eliminate few exercises which are just bad for your body like behind the neck presses, chair dips etc. - If you're a beginner then stick with a good program routine. Don't change between 100s of program. caz you'll grow no matter what when you're a beginner. Then, I'm sure after like 1 yr into lifting you'll get to know about the workout splits, routine etc. - learn what is is maintenance calories. This is what i use to calculate www.iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ - have a good sleep, 6-8hrs sleep is required, but try to get "Quality sleep" - And the most imp one "Start" don't procastinate. I think these would help you a ton if u follow em.

Hey Jeremy, thanks for this video! I have a shoulder injury so I’m being very careful not to aggravate it but I didn’t know how I should go about it. Your sample workout and explanation of each exercise gave me some ideas, so thank you so much!

Great video! If you have the time, could you maybe make a video on how to improve cardiovascular health while lean bulking? I'm not quite sure what kind of cardio is recommended. I want to avoid burning the calories I need for the lean bulk but still work on cardiovascular health.

Thanks Jeremy. I think you have high reliable information because you keep researching and try to give the best science approach. Because of that you give a lot of confidence whereas other information in the web does not inspire that trust. Thanks again, I will follow your advices and recommendations

Push and pull splits work opposite muscle groups and avoids overtraining. Push would be chest, triceps, and shoulders. Pull days would be back, biceps, and legs (deadlifts, squats)

I recently subscribed to your youtube channel and I am very excited to incorporate all of these tips and information into my own workout routine and dieting. Felt like saying thank you for all your hard work and I will definitely recommend your channel to those who are struggling with health and fitness goals, me personally my bigest struggle was being overwhelmed with meal preparation and keeping a dedicated workout routine. I am trying to catch up on videos but will be looking forward to seeing any new videos you post.
