SCUBA Training in Vancouver, BC (With DivingSports)
I had the pleasure of learning how to SCUBA dive in the cold waters of Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, British Columbia. Divingsports showed me the ropes and I learned so much! I'm super grateful for the experience and have nothing but good things to say. Loads of fun!

This brings back some memories. I taught many a scuba class at Whytecliff. This is just the first step, Advanced and Rescue diver are next. I always liked the deep dives and the wrecks over on the island. Once I learned to freedive though, I more or less gave up on Scuba diving.

That's awesome man, I don't think I knew you taught. Fun times. Yeah, I definitely like the freedom and convenience of freediving. Scuba is more of a mission and though your dive time is longer, your days in the water are shorter. It'll be nice to mix things up though!

I did my dry suit certification there in September! Later that week I went diving on Vancouver Island, Oak Leak if I remember. Saw like 5 giant pacific octopuses there.

Crazy! I hear that's a good spot to see em. I'm excited to dive there, I'm here there are some resident wolf eels there too!

@@PNWSamson We saw "Grandpa" on the second dive at Tyee Cove, I think. A pretty big guy with his lady friend. Down at around 80ft (24m), though, so you'll need to get your advanced open water for that one.

Congrats on your SCUBA certification. Maybe you'll get lucky, on one of your dives, and find a large and friendly Pacific Octopus, and hand feed it. I bet you'd get a ton of views on that. Keep up the great vids.

Thanks man! I'm pretty excited. Now time to get out in the ocean with some tanks! I've been hoping to have an octopus interaction like that. It's hard when you only see them for 30 seconds at a time.

@@PNWSamson moved here in 2012, worked in the patch, finally had a opportunity to gold prospect on the island, for a year...in 2016, never left haha. Now that you can scuba, wanna go video some gold adventure?

Haha thanks! And it's definitely one of them. I wanted to focus on learning so filming every moment wasn't possible. I'm not great at multitasking. Happy I had enough footage to put something together for them though!

Hiya....omg have you all seen the Lake Heron discovery of steamship found and went down about 128 years ago ... allll the scuba peeps are SO going to be flocking there and all over it. The Africa -- 1895 went down. @@PNWSamson
