@MattsSaltwaterFishing
@MattsSaltwaterFishing Жыл бұрын
@@miguelvaldez6837 we usually just wear Under Armour crew socks because they wick moisture away pretty well. If you wear neoprene socks in the summer they will get hot and if you do get wet it will hold in the water inside the socks.

@@cagonzal13 if using an expensive lure I would recommend using 1 foot to 2 feet of wire. Then if you want to do it like is about a 10 foot section of 100lb mono attached to the wire via a swivel or quick connect clip.

These particular boots are (Korkers Terror Ridge) $179.99, I have a link to them on Amazon in the description. Korkers also has boots with the same sole changing system for $109.99, $139.99 and $149.99. The material the boots are made out of affects the cost. The Carbide Spike Sole costs $69.99 separately. Korkers also makes an over shoe that goes over your existing shoes and has the same Carbide Spikes starting at $79.99 up to $99.99. In the videos coming out this Saturday and next Saturday you will see them in action on the green algae catching fish.

For rocks that have a thin layer of algae the felt would work good if it has a thick layer of algae/moss then you will want the carbide spikes.

I wonder if golf shoes would work if you wanted the spike design
@MattsSaltwaterFishing
@MattsSaltwaterFishing Жыл бұрын
I have heard that some people wear golf shoes or track spikes at the jetties but I have no personal experience with them. That being said the the Korkers use carbide tipped spikes where as the others don't. That carbide tip is what bites in to the granite/rock that you won't get with regular steel.

@MattsSaltwaterFishing
@MattsSaltwaterFishing 2 жыл бұрын
Having used the felt soles and the carbide spikes the past 6 months I can see how the spikes are very useful. The downside I would see with the felt/stud combo is that they might not be big enough to dig into the thick green algae.

@@MattsSaltwaterFishing, thanks for responding! I'm in Oregon, and the jetty rocks only have the black slim, not the thick green algae. What would you pick in that case? Also, since it's warm where you are, what are you wearing with the boots -- regular socks, or neoprene socks?
