Yo tweedy, i did some labbing with reverse time and it seems to work like this: the move has a small start up, but can be used during a hitstun just not during "cutscenes" like grabs and certain special moves with long locked animations. Basically you need to use it during a small gap of the combo. Something like cyrax would be impossible to freeze out of, but for example you can use it guaranteed every time after sub zeros overhead launcher.

As someone who stuck with mkx for 20k matches through the lifespan of mk11, I have become a geras main in mk1 because of you tweedy! However I do have one small criticism about enchanced db3, while I do think it can have a tendency to not work randomly, it more comes down the characters combos your are breaking. I can't remember off the top of my head but the db3 has around a 12-16 frame startup iirc? So unless there is a gap in the sequence big enough to get out of startup you will lose your bar and clocks. HOWEVER one big thing that makes using this to break combos EXTREMELY USEFUL is that GETTING THREE CLOCKS IS NOT THAT HARD. Using lao kameo (imo his best) off of any comvo you can choose to cash out damage or lose 2-5 percent to get three clocks into oki. You can even react to a full screen lao hat hitting, snap, and combo back into having three clocks. I've found so many dirty things with geras that has gone unseen, one example is a 31% combo into an unpunishable MIDSCREEN 18% cmd grab for 50%total 1 bar off of f1. Tldr: you're sleeping on enhanced db3 and geras in general. But cheers tweedy and hope you have a great day!

0:59 so here back in time didnt work because geras puts the enemy in a time freeze to recover health, but smoke was doing an ex armored move, thats why it didnt work (if he knew smoke's combo he wouldnt have done it there) but in 2:00 he just tried to do his armored reversal but it isnt that big of a gap so the meter gets spent but no armor comes through. i guess? unless he fucked up and did another ex move. he didnt have clocks so that wasnt the rewind time thing

It works if you do it on time it only rewinds 3 secs so if you wait too long and do it it will only pull u back to your position 3 secs ago i believe you can ex fixed point and put yourself where you want but dont quote me on that

He told how crappy the move is and it worked like 18-20 times. Maybe it is terrible if you know how to counter it but aren't all moves terrible if you know how to counter them?

Everyone else stands by that Geras is trash or whatever, but in the hands of someone like Grr, he utilizes all of rhe characters potential with amazing results. Same thing with Rain. Sonic showed us and said it himself. If you think Rain isnt top tier, do better. That goes for me too!😢
