One of the best parts of strongman is that not only do the athletes love to compete against the best, they actively encourage each other even in the middle of the contest! There's no denying egos, but it's usually "I'm prepared, I'm skilled, this is going to be interesting", and almost never "They're bad, this will be easy".

This is incredible. Ready to see some Dragon vs Moose action. This has the potential to be the greatest strongman show ever.

My biggest hope with the expanded lineup is getting a 6th event

If Mateusz ever got his deadlift up to the level of his other events, he'd be unbeatable. Thor was unbeatable, but it's hard to see how he could get back to his prime so quickly. If Martins is healthy, it'll come down to a battle between him and Mitch.

Quite possibly the best lineup ever. So excited for this one. It will definitely be a battle.

I'm a huge Thor fan, and if he comes in the kind of shape he was in, in 19' or 20', he's beating you in the DL and log, and everyone for that matter. If Mateusz comes in 19' shape, and brings his DL to mid-pack he could win the whole thing. Martins and you are very well matched, but he has a bigger log press imo....get to work Mitch, you've got you work cut out for you...but your amazing yourself! Good luck with you training. It's always special when Martins competes. The has the kind of aura about him that gives that impression.

Ran into Hafthor last summer in Drumheller... saw tattoo's on his legs and thought, "pfft dude, you're not thor." Looked up and saw it was indeed him. Grabbed my kids museum book thing and got him to sign it. It's now *my* museum book thing.

I think it’s a shame Matt Ragg isn’t involved as he’s proved himself in the last few tournaments. I still think Thor will be slightly rusty for competition although we will see that come back over the next few tournaments. Tom wants 2024 to be his year, he is the best at Atlas stones regardless of whether Thor is there or not. My top 3 are yourself Tom Stoltman & Licis in what order I’m not sure, this will be very dependent on the events, your strength is your brain and finishing top 3 in every event, consistency is key and that’s where you stand out from the others. Tom can go and win 3/4 events but then have a 5th/6th place which means he is always chasing. Thor may surprise us all but over 2 years out of strongman, shredding a lot of weight for boxing and tearing his pec in powerlifting may show its weakness in competition. Whatever happens this will be one hell of a tournament to watch and give us a good insight into WSM 2024. May the best man win 👍🇬🇧

It's too hard for me to judge. I think it's between you, Tom and Martins. If there is no deadlift, include Mateus. And Oleksii is unjudgeable. For podium I would include Thor.

Been going since 2014 every year. Last year paid for premium seats they were $500+ . Every time you got up to go to the bathroom someone from the nosebleeds would steal your seats. The ushers were terrible. It’s cool that the strongman have their own area but you can’t really leave to see the other events now. So I think I’m going to take a year off and go to the Shaw Classic instead.

Great lineup. I have Hooper, Martins, Mateusz top three. My big question is how will Tom perform without Luke in the mix. Has that ever happened.

In 2020 although Hafthor won, Mateusz had him licked in 4 events. Aside from his deadlift, he was the best at the time.

Got my tickets and definitely excited to be there! Watched you win this year and the lineup for next year is huge! I see you and Tommy for sure to take podium. The 2 of you are on fire and it’s gonna be a toss up possibly between oleksii, Mateus, Evens, or martins for 3rd. Thor will come back in the next year or 2 for sure he just needs a little more time to get back to where he was. Tho he may surprise us but to be the champion he was before he left will take a little more time. Stellar line up and it’s going to be one hell of a show! Can’t wait!!

If Thor truly is close to his 2020 shape it's going to be a legendary competition. Thor himself said that you were the best currently so it's going to be a race between you and Thor IMO with MArtins, Matteusz and Tom coming up on your heels. Bobby Thompson is a static beast and could challenge on deadlift maybe. Oleksii is always a threat and consistently fairly good across most events. It'll be a landmark Arnolds for me.

Oh man....with this lineup there are many unknowns about Martin, Thor, and honestly you since you will also be spending a good amount of time training for the MMA fight. This makes it hard to predict. I'd love to think that you can keep your strength up and recover well from the fight in time but this will be a true test of your body! I'm super excited to see how this works out!

the line ups that had thor, brian and bg z competing against each other was for sure the best line ups ever. each one of those dudes had periods of dominance.

Base on the forms : 1. Hooper 2. Mateusz 3. Licis ( 1 year off ) 4. Thor ( 3 years off , peck tear ) 5. Stoltman ( never good on Arnold) 6. Novikov ( he peaked in 2022 after not in the mix ) ..5 WSM champ in and 3 Arnold champ in top6

So excited for 2024 and 2025 in Strongman. If Thor and Martins return even close to full form it'll be a fantastic time for the sport with the deepest field for sure. Thor actually won 2018-2020 (the Arnolds weren't held in '21) but still, so excited to see him back!

Is there 11 athletes in this year's Arnold strongman classic? Mitch Hooper, Martins Licis, Thor, Tom Stoltman, Olexii Novakov, Mateusz Kielzikowski, Bobby Thompson, Evan Singleton, Thomas Evans, Max Beadrault, and the rookie Oscar. I wasn't sure from the video if you're saying Evan Singleton is invited this year or he should have been invited and was not included in this year's Arnold. If however, he is included that makes 11 athlete that you've announced for this lineup.

And what other scenes from Army movies would make great strong man events. One to definitely include would be the arm over arm from Predator. One that would look cool would be a HK pull. That one might have some logistal issues but what a spectical. One arm front Sully hold from Commando?

Anyone else notice mitch’s had grown a lot since 2021… if you look at a before and after its kinda crazy. Almost as crazy as devon larratts head gains.

You can definitely win this as long as you execute your normal plan of finishing second or third, and all the events.

Kieliszkowski 2x second WSM, 3 x podium Arnold Classic! If it hadn't been for his greatest weakness... the deadlift, he would have been crowned the WSM at least twice. However, in order to be WSM you need to be consistent in all events like Pudzianowski was, no weaknesses, like Mitch :)

This is easily the most competitive era of strongman period! In the past you would have a select few that were a cut above the rest and would bring the average up. Now, it’s literally anyone’s competition regarding the Arnold’s, wsm or rogue. None of the athletes will be on a cake walk

Brian Shaw eliminated Rauno Heinla in the first day at WSM this year. Since Brian retired, seems logical to include Heinla as well, imo. Guess they had too many athletes to choose from...
