@@siegfriedschulte9085 I am always just concerned about the extra weight of the bull bars , and I have not had any obstacle that the oem bumper caught or scratched , so why go heavier.

@@justjimny It was my concern as well, but since I've did both installations... (OL Bull Baar and 40mm suspension lift of Tough Dog all together).....no problem.....I just need the rear Coils to 100% complete the installation...

Tough Dog has done a great job putting together this suspension kit , its a winner👍

Thanks for the support. You are replacing the oem suspension with an aftermarket one thus TD will give you a 80k km warranty , and that should no affect any other warranties from Suzuki , since this does not effect other components .

Hi Tertius , Like mentioned in the video , in my opinion the Tough Dog is superior. The Des Sol is good for offroad , but for 4x4 trails, gravel and tar performance the Tough Dog trumps it.

@@justjimny thank you. Was thinking de sol due to the camber correction and everything in one kit. Not going to do major off road but will do trails and sand. Probably 80% tar. Will have a look at tough dog and then see if they can do the correction etc at the same time. Down in western cape.

@@tertiusdykes3529 Tough Dog can also supply you with a full kit , I just did not fit the caster corrections since the stock bushes where fine on the 40mm lift , they do wear out and after 60k km they had to be replaced , also have a look at our suspension test video for more information.

I will have a look , currently a bit busy with work , but will keep it in mind.

Based on your great in-depth reviews of the 40 mm Toughdog I was sure that is what I would fit to my new Jimny, but of course they pre-date the Des-Sol Ev1s. I would be very greatful to hear your thoughts on these as well as what you think about the fact that they use progressive springs. Do you think that this is a good thing where the springs are softer on initial bump and then get stiffer? Some people argue that for off-road you actually want digressive movement. i.e. it gets more compliant towards full bump, but I don't think anyone offers this in a lift kit, just single spring rates instead. The people that argue against progressive springs say that because the suspension moves more with a bump, being softer for the initial hit, you're quickly into the stiffer spring rate anyway and therefore the suspension can actually feel stiffer than with the same movement with a single spring rate. Thoughts?

Hi Sam , still running the stock steering dampner on my Gen4 , no issues. For the Gen3 which did not come out with one stock I would reccomend the tough Dog return to centre one with that small coil on.

Yes you can load more without the suspension sagging , not sure how much it increases.

Hi Joel , they have really nice colors availible , just keep in mind that the 2 tone color schemes might have a longer waiting period than the other ones. My two choices where between the Jungle green , and the blue.

On my 40mm I have 215/75R15 tyres , have a look at our other videos as well , loads of info.

@TSL - The Short Lever I already fitted 40mm with caster, extended brake and transmission line. 60mm is a bit too high for me as I don't do off-road very often, just need the car to go beach fishing.

Foam cell shocks reduce the bubbles in the oil so you dont get shock fade , the nitro gas cools the oil in the iron man shocks. I prefer the Tough Dog since I have experienced them on multiple vechiles and they have outperformed other brands constantly.

Hi Rae , if you can get the Ironman as a full suspencion kit , like the Toug Dog , and not just coils and shocks . These kits should have abs relocation,extended brake lines , light leveling , castor correction ( improves road handeling alot). In South Africa they just sell the shocks and coils , which under perform due to castor corrections ect is not added.

Hi Fred , I drive a Jimny because it ticks all the boxes of my requirements , and I can buy 3 Jimnies for the price of 1 cruiser , and it will still ouast and out perform the cruiser , I had one🤣
