I bought my son one for his 15th birthday (ryzen 5600H 1650 version), its been through hell. First we had a panel defect with the screen, microcenter replaced it rather quickly. Even went as far as to take my sons ssd out of the faulty one and install it in the new one so he didnt miss a beat with school, they then had to wait for the factory to fix the other one of course. Really cool of the microcenter manager honestly. Its been slept on (hes no small child either, 6'1") been dropped, things dropped on it ect. Its got some dents and dings here and there but it still works flawlessly. I highly recommend microcenters accidental warranty, especially if you buy for a teen.

Sometimes I like low-medium better than high graphics, much smoother and my eyes hurt less.

I have the one from the following year with 10th gen Intel and 1660 TI. It's been a good laptop for me. Everything I want to play it does well. I did add an extra 8 GB of RAM and a second SSD hard drive. It has space for it.

8GB of RAM is good for new Open World Games on lower settings? Or you haven't tried such? (I just got this from Micro Center).

Isn't this normal? I mean 6-core for a budget class... Surely AMD knows what they're doing right? Intel on budget class generally have 4 cores, but is already 11th gen.

Wow you all hitting that high on temps??? The max temp I hit while gaming is usually around 64-71*C, Though I do use a cooling pad...

I don't even hit 60°C in FPS games or few casual games like CSGO, Minecraft(no shaders/textures), Valorant, Paladins, Genshin Impact And no...I have not tweaked my laptop to save power and provide less performance, I guess I hit a jackpot on my model?

yeah I have last years nitro with the 4600h, and 1650, great budget gaming laptop

I think right now the GIGABYTE G5 KD is actually the best option in my opinion because it has the intel i5 gen .11, 16 gb ram and a rtx 3060 built in. its a other price range then this laptop in the video but its in the same price range as the acer nitro 5 and the acer nitro 5 comes with a rtx 3050 and a intel i5 gen 10.

Yes, I just got this and the Screen is dimmer than I hoped, but excepted for the price point! It can't have everything! I wonder if I can upgrade the screen in the future to a better/higher 300 nits one?

Follow this list: 1-4gb VRAM = GPU struggles 4-8gb VRAM = standard issue, nothing special 5-12 gb VRAM = decent 13+ gb VRAM = high performance, should serve you longer on demanding titles for more years to come. Yes, the amount of VRAM is useful, but it is the model that does most of the tasks.. Currently, the RTX 3060 is the standard issue for gaming, what I have is budget, so I only get 75 frames average on AAA games, like APEX, Destiny 2 and even COD Warzone. RTX 3060 can do more.. If you are in an urban area and is experiencing a dusty area? Go for ROG (ASUS) If you are going for minimalist designs but is capable of gaming? Go for ROG (ASUS) If you are going for that durable material finish? Go for ROG (ASUS) Currently, the best bang-for-the-buck I can think of is the entire "ROG Zephyrus" line of laptops (gaming) from ASUS More specifically the ASUS Zephyruys G15. If you can buy the RTX 3070 version that is the best deal you might have, considering that it would take 8 years at most to take that GPU down. This is my suggestion sir, ASUS ROG is pretty serious with their laptops, so that could be a go-to brand for gaming.

The best bang-for-the-buck is in the video.. The current GPU market is crazy, even just upgrading to the RTX 3060 costs an additional $400, (from your current GPU) Note: I may have missed good laptops from Alienware or Aorus, not to be bad at them, but they are usually expensive. So it is best to do your research, my suggestion is at the last part. The contenders are: HP Omen actually have the GTX1650 model at $1099 (Currently) and have the RTX 3050 model at $1169. Acer Nitro 5 (But the look isn't too minimalist) ASUS TUF gaming 15 (This is a good option if you don't have a monitor, the MUX switch disables Optimus) For the looks, the Machenike T58-V is a pretty minimalist budget gaming laptop (But it doesn't guarantee warantees since it is bought online only, but since it is online only, discount sales can be beneficial) The MSI GF63 thin has a thin body, I am talking Macbook level. (But it doesn't squeeze out all the performance according to reviewers.) Conclusion: The ASUS TUX model is the best laptop if you find a TUX switch model included. If not, the option depends on you. Bonus: If you are willing to save $500 more, you can get to the good RTX 3060 (6GB VRAM Models)

@@BasedHSVdude That is good, but look for the MUX switch. The MUX switch for the TUF line was recently just implemented. So choose carefully. For the price, it is good. I've got the same one, and put a 1TB storage drive and another 8gb stick of RAM as well - very VERY pleased with the performance of it. It's predominantly a desktop with 2 25" monitors hooked up, but it takes 30 seconds to detach, grab and go.

It’s not practical to overclock a GPU on a laptop. This will introduce more heat to the GPU same goes for the CPU. Also it’s absolutely not worth it.

@@Kangster101-PG3D yes i got the 2021 version and i also have the 2020 version, the 2020 version got a much worse screen response time to the point where its noticeable meanwhile the 2021 version is better where there is still a little bit of delay but its barely noticeable its much much better than the 2020 version (i play csgo) and also the 2021 version got better cooling

Damn good deal man. You should try and swap those ram sticks out for two matching 8 gig sticks though. It may seem counter intuitive to lose 4gb but with the modern Ryzen cpu and matching (and likely faster) 2x8 gig sticks of ram will out perform the 4x16. You might even be able to sell the 16 stick and use that to pay for both 8 gig sticks lol.

And i play with lowest settings possible, i’ve tried with lowest and medium settings, and same thing happens. Is it bc my gpu is all the time around 90-99% utilization or what

Been using a year now. Performance still good even on gaming. Probably you didn't maintain the drive health or thermals of cpu/gpu.

@@nazialpaca5353 Absolutely. All of those and on higher settings if you wanted, at the cost of some FPS. IF you want to check how a game will run on your hardware before buying, type it into youtube, chances are someone has already posted a video of a benchmark or gameplay of the game you are looking at on your exact hardware. Just try " i5 11400H 3060 6g" and check it out youll find something, if not your exact laptop.
