You had me at "Oxford". I love my KJV Scoffield Oxford, similar to this one. It's amazing- the gilding is so shiny!

Yeah, I have a lot of Longprimers too. (9 or 10 and counting.) I like them the best as well. I've even marked up 2 or 3. 😏

The last print run of Collins Longprimers that had italics was 1957 I think. I have a 57 and the rest of the Collins LPs after were the "new" LP from Oxford with CT notes and reference revamp. I have a Nelson LP from the 1930s that has italics, it's a very nice bible. This Oxford in your video was done under Ridler so that puts it in the 1958-78 category. A while back I reached out to OUP and asked them the exact year they changed the Longprimer. They acted as if they didn't care and told me everyone is long dead who would know the answer. You would think there would be some archived info in regards to their bibles. Seeing that Collins and others followed suit post 1957 I think Oxford might have done it around 1952. I have seen several Oxford LPs from the 1940's that have italics which makes me think the change came in the 50s. I know the older Allan LPs were based on the 1952 LP. I think that was the first year they rolled out the change.

I am looking for a simple (mainly text) small-medium sized black any kind of unused leather RSV bible. Would you know any place where I could get such a bible?
