Excellent stack of wood. Great technique for adjustability. I hate messing with my tarp in the middle of winter.

I have to cover all the sides too.. Two years ago we got a lottle snow storm and the wind blew all the snow between the logs , and it was PACKED in there. Only thing i could do was unpack every bit of it banging every piece together to get the snow off , clean all the snow from the spot , and rwstack every bit of it. My wife avoidede that day.

A big gale would blow that tarp right off easy. Chuck some old tyres on top, they best for wind proofing it in my experience.

I get 50+ mph winds here, I gave up tarping last winter. Interestingly the only annoyance was dusting off some snow from the top of the stack.

My old man used to use sheets of plywood. He would attach self stick roofing. You may have to anchor the plywood down, but just another idea. Then again, your cross wind may just blow moisture into the stack. Sounds like you need a wood shed my friend

Why not just fold over the end when you want more wood instead of pulling it back?
