Simple good music for everybody, no pretentious crap, that's what the hype it's all about. I hope they become even more famous while making "ordinary riffing".

don't know what everyone's moaning about, you can see his fingers and hear which strings are played very clearly. Use your ears and eyes people!? people used to learn guitar by listening to records over and over and seeing people play live once or twice if they were lucky ;o

fantastic Andy, any chance of something from "Magic Potion" such as Goodbye Babylon, thats a great track and could be a good way to move some trem pedals or similar. Also the tone on "Modern Times" is a crunch tone I cant even begin to imagine what kind of pedal would produce it. Would be grateful for some insight or tips. Thanks again.

As a fellow leftie, I agree that its very easy to watch a right-handed player and pick up what is happening quite easily. That would seem to be the only benefit of playing left handed. lol

Is there another way to get that sound? I cant spend 300$ on a pedal..I heard Dan uses a Russian Big Muff (the green one) but they are pretty rare and also expensive, and the standard Muff doesnt get me there...any suggestions?

the Bass Big Muff is a close sound to the classic "Green Russian" cost is about the same as a stock Big Muff Pi from EH and yes you are also correct Dan uses a Russian Big Muff Pi.
@ASATbomber
@ASATbomber 11 жыл бұрын
ARC effects big green pi, earthquaker devices hoof, or wren & cuff tall font will all get you that sound for less than $200. You could even just buy the muff half of the twosome (musket or blunderbuss) for less than $200

what the heck? did you just change the nut on that tele between the intro and the lesson? because in the intro it had an earvana nut and from then on there was a regular uncompensated nut. the grain on the body looks identical. what's going on, andy?

I'd say that Earthquaker Devices Hoof Fuzz or the Tall Font Russian would suit better. I love Andy's demos and my humble opinion is that he did a real better version of this song on the Hoof Fuzz demo. Not hating though, real proper respect for doing these , I hope you guys keep carrying this. Thanks!

Unless you're a serious gear geek -- nothing wrong with being one, of course -- the difference in tone between an American Big Muff and a Russian Big Muff is probably going to strike you as pretty minor. Aside from the playing itself, playing through a good amp is probably the most important part of the tone in the video, followed by the nice guitar, followed by the particular fuzz pedal used.
