The BMW Z3 Gets Spyder Halo Projector Headlights: Installation and Review

A road-debris incident leads me to conclude the BMW Z3 needs all-new glass up front. Options are somewhat limited for this now 22-year old car, so I spring for an aftermarket option. In this video, I give an overview of the Spyder Halo Projector headlights for the Z3, show the tools and parts used, and finally wire up the headlights and give a before-after comparison.

Nice video! I also find it odd that there is no OEM or OE equivlant option. They made a lot of these cars. You'd think there would be something to maintain the original look.

After I installed these headlights my fog lights on the z3 don’t work now? Any ideas?

Good vid explaining the set-up. I also have a set like these. Did you connect the other high beam bulb?

I didn't actually, I just kept that secondary high beam plug not connected. Didn't really know what to do with it, TBH. I suppose you could cut the plug off and wire it into the low beams, but not sure I wanted to have my lows that bright

Congrat's for a good workaround vid. I've just got a 2000 UK spec. Z3, RHD. I live in France and need to comply with headlight reg's here. This kit looks fit for purpose, but do you know whether the lights are configured for LHD. I imagine yes. These units are manufactured in China I think and are available in Europe. A question: when fitted is it still possible to raise and lower the trajectory of the light beams, i.e. to compensate for car load?

I got one but it doesn't light ☀ ️ enough than the older one.

2 things- how did you get the last screw into the bottom of the headlight bracket? I'm struggling with this. Might have different for you since you have an after-market intake. Lastly, my corner light doesn't stay on like yours. It flashes as a turn signal. How did you wire yours?
