99% it's regular cling film, which is good at stretching so doesn't break but expands when there's steam in the pot. As for it not sticking.. I guess it's just stronger than you/i might expect. But yeah, doesn't look like anything more than clingfilm

Regular plastic wrap is actually fairly heat resistant. The steam just makes it inflate. He might use that on purpose. It looks like he's making a berry syrup, so he might use plastic wrap rather then a lid to judge how much water has evaporated, to be sure the syrup is the right consistency. That'd be easier to judge at a glance, and I'm sure he's actually doing all these things alongside each other rather then sequentially as shown. Edit: for the record this is just a guess. I could be completely wrong, it's also possible he just does it cause it looks good for KZfaq.
