Agreed! Though, a second chance should at least be given to John Favreau, and the rest if not perhaps most of the team that worked on the show. John has proven himself that while he is in no way a perfect writer and what have. He is not that bad of a one either compared to some of the other people who put out Star Wars content in recent years.

@@54lolman I'm definitely willing to give them one more chance with the character. After all, they nailed the essence of Boba Fett in the Mandalorian season 2 (at least on my opinion). And Mando season 1 and 2 we're great. Bad batch was decent, but that's another topic. My worry is that, although the writing can contribute to the issue, this is more of how John and Disney see the character of Boba Fett moving forward. Rather than a villain or anti-hero, they might see him as the leader of the friends barge lol And no amount of writing will fix Boba if that's how they see the future of the character.

The writing was terrible from start to finish, some of my favorite moments: - Boba saying the Tuskans "took him in" after they had beat & enslaved him, then morally judging bikers for potentially destroying these tuskan RAIDERS who again regularly take slaves and try to kill people - The wookie assassin failing to take out a defenseless sleeping target because he threw Boba around rather than shooting him or tearing out his throat - The wookies spiked & electrified fist hitting Boba's exposed face full force head on and doing zero damage, not even leaving a mark - Boba literally driving his ship into the Sarlacc pit and nearly dying because he forgot he still had his armor on when he left the pit initially. Also, looking for his armor by crawling inside it rather than using the drone Fennec had used in the same episode to scan Jabba's palace I could go on, but the point is that behind all the amazing special effects is a MESS of bad writing. We shouldn't love Star Wars just for the label of Star Wars. Star Wars, and its audience, deserves better

Only thing that couldve redeemed this show was that it was Boba who took out the crime lords at the end (because it would have put some strength behind Cads monologue) ... @Deno2100

Some of the scenes in this were bearable. First the droids are walking at 2mph. Super slow, clunky and dumb, I am like ok. Because their guys are bigger than speeder bikes. They make up for it in fire power. WRONG. They blow up a speeder with 2 shots, after missing 100. Then suddenly their canons do no damage. Everyone literally runs away. The people that run away are able to barely get away at foot pace. Then Mando runs away in a rickshaw that is going what 40mph, somehow they can get away from the robots that are walking in slow motion. Then the robots get into melee combat with a rancor and suddenly their reflexes are increased to a almost deadly speed but earlier Mando and Boba just sat by one no even keeping their eyes on it. Just walking around it to avoid fire. Not a single person got killed by the robots. Not one? This was a dumpster fire of an episode. I would give it a 1 out of 10. Its budget was high so visual it looks great. The writing, acting even the sound were are horrible. Shows like this are the reason I have never watched much TV. They are brain dead. However, lately all the movies series are becoming shows and its been horrific.

Pretty much everything I was shouting mid-episode watching this finale was in this video. The only thing missing was the Mod saying she'd "distract" the robot for the sniper literally 2 feet from her on the same rooftop by shooting at it. Then when they *both* have to run as the robot shoots back I'm shouting "of course that is what would happen, do you not know what cross fire is?!" My wife just smiled and looked at me until I remembered it's just a TV show. I feel like I got worked up because it kept teasing the idea of being a cool, satisfying finale and then having the seasoned characters make calls that even CoD playing teens would know are stupid. I don't know if it was a production fail, a budget issue, or if this was the best the people involved thought possible. It's very disappointing.

Bringing Grogu back so soon was a mistake, in my mind. It takes a lot away from the past Mando seasons. And Boba didn't even have a back up plan just in case the other gangsters betrayed him. He actually took their word for it. It is just naive. And if Cad Bane is truly dead, it was a wasted character. Fitting for a show full of wasted opportunities. The one where he trains Boba and eventually has a showdown where Boba gets a dent in his helmet and Cad Bane gets a head injury that requires the metal plate we see in Bad Batch and Book of Boba Fett. So many Clone Wars episodes were lost because Filoni and co. thought the Martez Sisters were good enough to burn FOUR EPISODES on in Season 7. Oh, and the Son of Dathomir story and Crystal Crisis on Utapau stories need episodes too. I need to cleanse my mind of the tedium of the Martez nonsense that wasted my time.

Just onnnnnnne small thing at 7:10 , this technically works. In the Clones Wars in the Season 5 arc where Anakin Obi Wan Ahsoka and Rex train the Onderon rebels, they are shown training against Droidekas. They specifically point at, the grenades have to roll in at just the right speed or else they bounce. Also that scene in 2nd battle of Geonosis, where Rex slowly pushes his gun into the Droideka shield to kill the rolly boy. So technically, that is based in lore.

Why mention Luke? He has basically zero impact on the overall story AND he is barely in it. I would've been much happier if he had never showed up to begin with. Should've been another Jedi or preferably an unaffiliated force user who initially took Grogu. Plus, while I'm on that, isn't it like pretty weird how they left him? It seemed almost petty. They sent him off with no lightsaber, no chaperon past the droid, nothing but the clothes on his back and the gift from Mando. Like, god damn when jedi cut ties they don't leave any threads hanging. Do agree Mando lifted the show up and if he wasn't a part of it at all I think the whole experience would've been a waste of time.

I am 50% sure that Cad is still alive, a weird beeping noise is coming from him after Boba leaves him. So either it's a distress beacon that's going to call Todo to come and save him or it's a signal to somebody else letting them know he's dead and whoever that is will show up in either Mandalorian Season 3 or a Book of Boba Fett Season 2. I would not be surprised to see Cad come back since he did survive a blaster bolt to the cranium from Boba way back then.

The series had some cool moments, but it really felt like it needed more time. It's like they had this concept of Boba taking over Jabba's empire and becoming a crime lord in lieu of him becoming Mandalore, then had no idea what to do with it. For four episodes they barely did anything at all, the flashbacks were cool but didn't really provide anything we _needed_ to know, and ended rather abruptly as well. I thought for sure we were gonna see one more dream of Kamino (along with finally hearing that sweet-ass John Williams score). They used up two episodes on _Mandalorian_ season 3 (really thought Din visiting Grogu would be the opening of season 3 and that he'd just show up in Mos Espa next episode), and then in the last episode they were suddenly at war. It felt like they did all ("all") of it just to end up at the point they were at before the series even begun. It felt like they made the series only so they didn't have to explain Din's new starfighter, why Grogu is with him again (and so people won't complain when he gets fatally shot but turns out to be all right 'cause he's wearing mithril underneath his robes) and why Boba's a respected daimyō when Din inevitably visits him or needs his aid. And that sucks, 'cause with this series they've weakened both season 2 and season 3 of _The Mandalorian_ imho. I was looking forward to seeing Din without Grogu, just 'cause it would be so interesting after spending the majority of two series with them together. I was looking forward to seeing how he would cope, perhaps having scenes of Luke training Grogu spliced in, and then finally seeing them reunite after being apart for so long... And we didn't really need to see how Boba became this respected daimyō. We already saw him take Jabba's throne, in a scene that perhaps proved too badass for the show's own good. That's really all we needed. At least if all they were gonna have him do was dream and walk around, without much payoff. Boba was a badass in the last episode, him riding his rancor was awesome, though I am a sucker for anything pet-related, no matter the medium. In an alternate reality they would've had him ride the rancor in an earlier fight so we could get to see both the rancor and Slave I in action (outside of a flashback). I'm also gonna be really shocked if Cad Bane's actually dead. If only because Dave Filoni didn't direct it, and I would've thought for sure that he'd take on the directing job on an episode killing off such a big character that he helped create. I'd also completely forgotten about Fennec's mission. I love her, I truly do, but man, was I disappointed when they revealed who killed the leaders and it wasn't Boba. It makes sense she'd be the one to do that, but the series sorely needed more moments for Boba to be the badass we all know and love, and season 2 proved him to still be. That scene, and Fennec's awkward exit (which they seem to have a problem with, here's looking at you, Krrsantan), as cool as it was (exit notwithstanding), felt like something they added at the last minute 'cause they realised they forgot to show it. Honestly I feel like this should've been a film, or a mini-series, which it technically was (last time I saw they were calling it a one-off and _The Mandalorian_ season 2.5 at least), but they rushed Boba's story and wasted time on (presently) unrelated characters and plots.

Did Disney really think that this shit is what the fans wanted? When you think Boba Fett, the "most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy" do you think fat old man with a stick and robes who "rules with respect", makes stupid decisions constantly and is bossed around by women? No you think lone wolf bounty hunter who is dressed in Mandalorian armor, doesn't show his face, uses all his gadgets, is mysterious and a total badass. The problem is that character already exists and he's the Mandalorian.

The strangest thing I found about the show was that the Boba Fett we saw in The Mandalorian was completely different than in BoBF. When we saw him I’m Mando, the dude was ruthless, terrifying, and badass CRUNCHING (with an absolute capital C) Stormtroopers faces in, both in and out of Armour. He was the formidable bounty hunter we imagined him to be. And then at the end we saw him shoot an unarmed Bib-Fortuna in cold blood and claim his still warm throne. This made me think that BoBF was going to be about a ruthless bounty hunter deciding to form his own cartel and reclaim his former employer’s power and influence through fire and blood. And instead we got a… good guy. A surprisingly benevolent and just ruler, that rules through respect, which is nice and easy to root for, but doesn’t work for Boba Fett and doesn’t fit with what we saw before hand. 6/10

With this wrap up it felt like Ep5 & 6 were infact Mandolorian episodes they repurposed. There was a lot to like but a lot not to. One thing I didn't think of at the time but am now is the planning. They just placed people in different parts of the town, no planning beyond that, from two cold blooded killers in Fennic and Boba. No droids, no asking the town for help, but expecting Freetown to help? No warnings or traps which all could have been done with the resources at his disposal. In the Clone Wars episodes they made it clear that even as a child Boba was a good planner, he had contingencies he was not a haphazard guy but he seems ill-prepared for every situation he is faced with the entire show. The Rancor was cool to see, but it didn't fit. The situation called for speed being of the essence he decides instead of calling his ship which he can do from his gauntlet he instead flies off to get a Rancor that he has maybe had a week or so, and can ride it? He could have just used the Slave 1 to strafe the droids and knock them out quicker and with less overall damage than the Rancor caused.
