The series title, 'The book of Boba Fett' has confused people more than it should have. Books have chapters and not always does a chapter include the main character. We've had two chapters one totally about The Mandalorian and one mainly about Grogu but also setting up the protagonists for the season finale. It's fine with me.

Damn there’s so much to talk about. Literally tearing up rewatching the episode. Really hope we get to see Luke and Ashoka’s first meeting. Her finding out Anakin was redeemed, force ghost Hayden etc… now that would be a night of a thousand tears.

The new footage they edited for Luke looks *miles* better than before, it's fantastic!

Grogu picks the lightsaber, steals the chain mail while Luke is sleeping, and wears it under his clothes. Problem solved! Kidding aside, I do hope this is some test. I would like to think Grogu picks the lightsaber then the chain mail. Luke accepts it. His Jedi Order should allow attachments.

The three man standoff was right out of the classic The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, chef's kiss.

The reason all us old school boba Fett fans aren't bothered is we already got our amazing deep boba Fett show. It's called the mandalorian.

They might as well have called this episode "Good Luck Thumbnail Makers." Just pure spoilers from beginning to end... and we love it.

Really hope Grogu chooses both. Luke and Ahsoka know that attachments should be part of the Jedi way! That’s literally what redeemed Vader / Anakin. Edit: completely agree with Rob at around 26 min mark. Hopefully Grogu shows Luke the importance of attachments

My theory for the season finale is it will draw on the influence of Spaghetti Westerns and Japanese films and be a homage to The Seven Samurai/The Magnificent Seven. Boba Fett, Fenic Shand, Mando, Black Krrysantan, Cobb Vanth and two more as yet unseen characters vs Cad Bane and the Pikes

Welp, I’m off to the hospital so they can reattach my jaw. So many amazing moments in this episode.

I like how everyone's reaction is pretty much the same: "Holy shit its Cad Bane! ... oh no! Cobb Vanth is going to die."

Even though Mando was not in the last episode, his future as a ruler of Mandalor was discussed. Been a Fett fan for years and was glad that episode came and laid out the foundation, histories, and legends of Mandalor that was from Clone Wars and for people whom didn’t know. THIS episode was the build up of the ‘hired’ guns and how this will all come about to tie up in the end. Looking forward to seeing your guys’ reaction!

Cad has beef with Boba in 1 out of the 10 cancelled Clone Wars arcs, which Disney sadly cancelled after their Star Wars takeover in 2014. In that arc Boba and Bane had a standoff where they shot each other in the head, which created the dent in Boba's helmet, but both survived. And as you can see in the Bad Batch show Bane now has a metal plate at his head where he got shot, which is why I think that arc is still canon. Btw, among these cancelled (on screen) CW arcs were amazing stories like "Son of Dathomir" and "Dark Disciple", which I would absolutely love to see return to screen, alongside their duel.

im thinking that in that particular moment Grogu saves himself and then Obi Wan gets him out because he was the one returning to the scene and Watch the recordings of Anakin killing the padawans, and that could serve as a way to introduce the Obi Wan series

I find it fascinating how many people have built Boba Fett up to be this incredible character off of just a few minutes of screen time in the original trilogy. Maybe he was always meant to be a small contributor to the overall story and never was a key character. Also Feloni has been dong entire story arcs away from lead characters for more than a decade now. Clone Wars has entire arcs that completely depart from the focus on the war itself. Having episodes that completely ignore the lead character should only really be surprising for new fans of Star Wars.

I believe Cobb killed three Pykes with three shots. The second one was quick as hell 😂 also I don't think he died. Looked like a shoulder hit, maybe a warning shot!

I told myself I wouldn't cry if there was a glimpse of Luke and we get half an episode. I miss sane, placid, centered, HERO Luke. A hero is so simple, it's doing the right thing amidst great strife. You don't need flash.

Love the reaction and review. Loved this episode. I'm glad they are taking their time and dedicating episodes to other characters with stories that will carry on after wards. For me Uhhhhh no it would be like having a batman show and dedicating an episode to NightWing. Mando and Boba are both Mandalorian.

Anakin was angry because only Jedi Masters were put on the council and yet he was denied the rank of master, because he was only on the council at Palpatine's request. Anakin was called 'Master' by younglings and Padawans, which included Ahsoka, as he was her master, but other Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters called him 'Knight Skywalker'. It can get a bit confusing.

1:45 Mando isn't just random. He fits in the story of Boba.

Ahsoka called Anakin Master, but that's because he was HER master, her teacher. he called Obi Wan Master also long before Obi Wan was granted a seat on the council. Common folk also greeted the Jedi as "Welcome Master Jedi", that had nothing to do with the rank.

In an episode that was never finished, young Boba and Cad Bane dueled. That's why Cad Bane has a metal plate in his head in bad Batch and it was Bane that gave Boba the dent in his helmet. So yeah.. those two are not on a friendly basis.

Tarre Vizla(the first Mandalorian) who made the Darksaber was also the first Mandalorian to be inducted into the Jedi Order. So why cant Grogu be both and wield the Darksaber?

Great reaction as always guys! Personally don't understand the majority of complaints and insults being thrown at this show though, loved all the episodes so far, nothing "mediocre" or "slow" about the execution.

Episodes 3 and 4 let everyone know that Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are human. Those episodes were okay, not great like everything else has been. But they really took the wind out of my sail watching the series. Until Return of the Mandalorian, and this classic From the Desert (I saw one headline read From the Dessert) Comes a Stranger, might be the greatest thing I've seen since the Original Trilogy. And I must say that a certain entrance in this episode is the best entrance I've seen in Star Wars.

BTW - Cad would never join Boba. There’s a deleted scene from clone wars in which Boba and Cad Bane have a standoff. Boba “kills” Cad and Cad leaves the dent in Boba’s helmet. Maybe they have their rematch!

The best theory I've seen so far is that Grogu picks the light saber and Luke gives him the chainmail anyway. I think he may stay wth Luke for now but he won't finish his training and goes back to Din. He'll be back in Season 3, Disney knows Grogu is gold. Great reaction as always, guys!

I'd love to do a round robin anthology show. First episode introduces a character who by the end meets up with another. Then the next is that character doing something similar. By the end you get one ending story. So if you did an episode of just Cobb, he'd meet Bane, who then next episode crosses path with Mando, who then runs across Fett, etc.

New Rockstars put out a theory that the Green color of the Lightsaber is a trigger for Grogu's PTSD of Order 66 as that is the color he associates with it as you can see the reflection of Green in his eyes in the flashback and the modern day, much like how some veterans can get triggered by a car backfiring or a malfunctioning lawnmower because they sound like gunshots. so Luke using a Green Lightsaber, and making Grogu choose between Mando's gift and another Green Saber, is probably gonna influence Grogu's choice

To be honest episode 5 was the only episode that I didn’t fall asleep on. So, to me it was the best episode of the season.

@Legends of Podcasting, I think Grogu saved Grogu. He would have been about 20 years old here, and he would have learned from all the great masters at the temple. Grogu probably isn't an infant at all, but mentally resembles one because of his Force induced memory suppression. He probably gets sleepy because he's in a perpetual state of using the Force suppressing his memories while doing day to day things. We know from Yoda and Obi-Wan that the best thing for a Jedi back then was to run and hide. Yoda and Obi-Wan basically did the same thing on different worlds, disappearing into the wastelands, far from the populous, but those who crossed paths with them let everyone they knew that they crazy cooks that people should leave alone. Grogu did something else. He hid for many years by locking his knowledge behind a Force induced memory suppression trick. The trauma he suffered that day might have caused him to trap himself inside his own mind, and it looks like Luke might have been the very person he needed to break free. Grogu's use of the Force was not accidental. He knew what he was doing when he stopped the Mudhorn attacking Din. He knew what he was doing when he stopped Moff Gideon's forces on Nevarro. Look at how Grogu watches Luke going through some lightsaber kata in the episode--I think he's remembering. Luke even mentions to Ahsoka that Grogu seems to be remembering more than Luke teaching him anything. Last week's episode, Return of the Mandalorian, was likely more than most give it credit. Din was the central character, sure, but I think he was the vehicle of information, and I think the story was referring Mandalorians as a whole. *We learned the importance of clans/houses for Mandalorians. A Mandalorian not affiliated to one is a nobody. *We learned that Mandalorians were at odds with one another a thousand years, as they are now. *We learned that it took a Mandalorian who grew past Mandalorian beliefs to unit them under one banner. *We learned that Tarre Vizsla was more than a Mandalorian, he was both a Jedi and a Mandalorian. *We learned that many Mandalorians believe in the Mythosaur folklore, the new age of Mandalore that it represents. All of these things are reflected in Mandalorians we've met in the Mandalorian and Boba Fett. *Boba is a Mandalorian no Mandalorian recognizes. He's held accountable for Jango's betrayal and the Clone Trooper's atrocities. *Bo-Katan and the Armorer are remnants of Mandalore's past; they are what's wrong with Mandalore and why it's been at odds with itself since the Clone Wars. *Boba Fett was made whole by the Tuskens; they took him in and treated him as one of their own teaching him their culture. Boba literally wraps himself in the cultures that shaped him. He now uses what he's learned to unite all sorts of people that normally wouldn't work with one another, and he's gathered in the house he's made on Tatooine. *Grogu is the first Mandalorian since Tarre Vizsla to be a Jedi, and Grogu's knowledge of the Force might even be equal to his. *Boba is going to evoke the Mythosaur from the Mandalorian folklore when he rides his rancor in Mos Espa. Return of the Mandalorian might actually be plural. 21:59 Grogu's already a Jedi, though. Grogu didn't need a teacher, he had all the best teachers before the Empire, Yoda included. What Grogu needed was someone to give his mind the push it needed to release the Force induced memory suppression. Grogu is going to choose the armor, and I think he's going to take Din's Darksaber in the battle to come, completing his likeness to Tarre Vizsla. Luke's going to end up joining the battle too, right? He's not going to drop Grogu off and just leave. Tatooine was his home too, and at the end of Rise of the Skywalker he goes back home. So, who else do the Pykes have on their payroll? Cad Bane can't be it right? Boba's fast growing team have their finger on the scale, and it isn't even funny. Next week is going to be epic, and I cannot wait!

@25:10 Yes, and bc of his popularity I think the LucasFilm writers may have inadvertently boxed themselves into a corner… It’s canon that Kylo Ren murders ALL of Luke’s students at the Jedi Academy. It stands to reason that if Grogu is Luke’s student, then Grogu eventually gets killed by Kylo. 😭

Book of Boba Fett is an excellent STAR WARS series...period.

Btw, Cad Bane has also done plenty of contract work for the Empire.

Just a thought, Luke helped Grogu see his past, Ahsoka must have shown Luke his father in his youth, she had to have given him the gift of seeing his father before the dark side of the force took him and showed him his mother. Luke couldn’t remember his mother but Ahsoka could give him and Leia her memories of how she looked and sounded, that’s what I want to see. I have to believe this is all leading to seeing everyone in the Ahsoka show or in another show down the road, Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie….Ben. This technology is amazing and has incredible potential.

I feel like the townspeople were the ones who were distributing the spice for the pikes and maybe even hired cad bane. I imagine next week they will say "he was just supposed to scare him...not kill anyone..." and i think those pikes at the beginning of the episode weren't really pikes. I think they were townspeople. Because they were paying for the spice it seemed. That bartender was acting really sus. I also think tatooine is headed for a major flood that will cleanse the sinners from mos espa. Thats why its located in a sinkhole. So they can drown them like rats. I also think that grogu and luke are on one of tatooines moons because those frogs were being cooked for bib fortuna at the palace. And the frog was still alive. So they had to get it close by

There is a video called "Cad Bane Rework | Clone Wars Style". I like both versions of Cad in that video, but my favourite would probably be a mixture of the 2, the more Clone Wars looking one with more pale skin for example.

And, Dave and Jon said, "Yes..." I have a feeling that Chapter 7 will partly end in a cliffhanger...with The Pykes and Cad Bane injuring and abducting some featured or key characters in the series, leaving Boba and his new crew to seek them out, and set things right on Tatooine. Enter: The Rangers Of The New Republic, to join in the fight to bring justice to The Outer Rim. Yes...Cad Bane looks great. No, Bane would NEVER work with Boba...or Fennec Shand, for that matter. He has bad history with both of them. And, I have a feeling that Order 66 flashback will be further examined in The Bad Batch, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka. Thank you, Papa Dave. P.S. Is the runtime for the final eps out? I'm still worried about the showdown Other then that, emotional rollercoaster this episode was. Lots of omhs, oh no, nooooo's were said repeatedly lol. I think Grogu is going to choose Mando, because I thought it was said Leia was his first student/apprentice? And then Ben? (I can't remember, I loved eos 7, hated 8 at how they just completely shifted everyones personalities completely from how they acted in 7, and just the film in general had so many issues, so I just deleted that movie from my memory banks, and I never bothered to watch 9, it doesn't exist lol) unless they've decided to also act like that storyline never happened too lol. If we go by the 3rd trilogy, it also makes me nervous as to everyones eventual futures, the Mandalores, Grogu, Din, Boba and all that as nothing is said about them. But I guess we can just say that their own paths were minuscule compared to the main story arc, and thus they weren't necessary to mention in the films, maybe. I dunno, there's a lot of things I want to know to see how it all connects. Din and Grogu just need to make their clan a group of mando-jedi warriors, best of both worlds lol. Also at the end there, before the credits cut, Grogu starred opening his mouth, are we about to hear his first word?????? I am too too hyped up at the thought of Grogus first word being Din/Daddy/Mandolorian, I am setting myself up for a big disappointment lol Wednesday can't come fast enough (Also, I know a lot of people are let down/disappointed at BOBF not being what they expected it to be (wasn't what I expected either) but I'm enjoying watching the growth of Boba, changing from the man he was before into whatever it is the future has for him, as well as the reintroduction of some lore, and new lore, of SW. It's getting beefed up again. Also one last note, I'm still expecting to see Bobas Tuskan Mentor to show up, with a band of Tuskans for the final fight, I don't believe they're dead. Lot to digest, lots to digest.

I think the jedi are being wrong about the attachment thing and that kind of leading to Vader because of them not giving proper advice when he needed it most and forbidding the relationship in the first place. I get that Luke has to mess up due to the sequels, sadly because I like the legends Luke, with his new jedi order that allows attachments and doesn't get destroyed so fast way more. I hope they go into why Ahsoka feels the same way more, because I thought that she was leaving the jedi order in part also because of the way they were handling things like that. I also hope that she changes her view on the not relationship thing at some point. Also, probably Grogu will wear his chainmail even if he chooses the saber.

I laughed at how you shut Grogu’s mouth after the end of the episode. That’s how I was watching this week. My jaw was on the floor! I am in the minority but I kind of want Grogu to continue training with Luke and then show up at the end of Mando S3 with his light saber and his beskar armor on to help them retake Mandalore. But I don’t think they will go that route cause Grogu is integral to Disney’s marketing. Unless we get a Luke and Grogu adventures show which would be fantastic! I am a little nervous about next week’s episode cause I think Robert Rodriguez is directing it and his episodes have not been good. But a Cad Bane vs Fennec and Boba showdown seems promising. And if Luke comes back to Tatooine to hand off Grogu to Mando will he join the fight? As cool as that might be Luke would overshadow everyone so it might not be a good idea. I don’t know. I just hope it will be epic.

I think Boba Fett was supposed to get his own movie at some point, so my guess is that they had to tie it into The Mandalorian to have enough material for a series and that's why there's episodes with no Boba Fett. But I don't care tho, I've loved every minute of these last two episodes!

It’s absolutely hilarious how spoiled some of us have become. We are getting this insanely good content and they took two episodes to build how we get to the finale and people are like, it’s about Mando, why is it about Mando if it’s a Boba Fett show . I just giggle at what we are getting and it’s still not enough. Star Wars movies had a tendency to cut to different parts of the story, to show where the other characters were, that’s what these two episodes feel like. Everyone is focusing on how many episodes are left, that’s not going to be where this story ends. We have other series coming and other seasons, this isn’t going to stop, we are living in wondrous times my friends and the Star Wars is flowing like spice on the wind….where is Ezra 😎

Boba is key but the mutiverse needs creating. No sw fan gets storytelling

The only concern I have is that all these shows will eventually have to tie into the sequels. I, like you guys, very much dislike TLJ and the rest of the sequels if I’m honest. Really wish they retcon and redo the sequels with a proper vision and proper writers. Favreu, Filloni, BDH etc

Imho the character of Boba Fett is very cool but not interesting enough to carry a whole show. He's a supporting character, not a main character. A number two, not a number one. To support my (vain) opinion think about all the fans who all agree that the two most interesting episodes of the book of Boba Fett so far are the ones where *Din* is the main character. His story and character are much more interesting. He doesn't want to be a leader, he just wants to see the kid who was once just a bounty and to do what's right. Whereas Boba just wants to be another boss.

Everyone ruins it when Cad shows up.. It's either obvious this isn't an original reaction or it's a reaction that has already been tipped off from online rumours. 👎
