Damn, Mark, you've gone and done it again!!! How could I ever forget this song? It was 1976 and I was a controller at Ontario TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach CONtrol). I'd crank the cassette wide open (all 10 watts) and play this as I drove to work. Between this song, Hotel California (Eagles) and Freebird (Lynyrd Skynyrd), there weren't enough airplanes in the sky to put ME down the tubes!! THANK YOU for restoring the memories of 'what once was....'

Were you flying in the LA basin back in those days? If so, we may well have spoken to one another. I was a controller at Ventura Tower, 72-75, Ontario TRACON 75-77, Las Vegas McCarran Tower/TRACON 77-79, Sacramento TRACON 79-86, plus military ATC before that. This is the first rock song I ever heard performed live. Not by Thin Lizzy. 🤭 But by a cover band that played at my Jr. High school gym. They were actually good and played a few current hits of the day. Thanks for bringing back a great memory! Oh, and you guys are solid as always!

I"m almost 69 and also reminds me of my youth. Saw Lizzy back in the days, but this cover is absolutely brilliant. Lead and back up singing phenominal, Guitarrists including the brilliant bass simply out of this world. As for the drums...wow what more can you say. Lucky people over there who will be able to watch this band play outdoors this summer.

Back in the 1990s my sons were young boys, and they loved it when I would play this on the cassette player in the car. They would sing "The boys are back in town, and the girls are not around!" I used to warn them that the girls they're killing now they'll be kissing tomorrow. They would say "No way, Dad!" Years later they would tell me that I was right! A father's wisdom!
