Huey Lewis (of Huey Lewis & The News) has stated that Phil Lynott is the greatest frontman and genius in the history of rock music. Edit: Phil was also Lewis' mentor and was about to make a comeback in the mid 80s, right before his health went downwards, with Huey's help.

As a Lizzy fan since the 70s, I can assure you Lizzy wasn't just about Ireland. Phil was actually born in England to an Irish mother, Brian Robertson: Scottish, Scott Gorham: English, Snowy White: English, John Sykes: English, Darren Warton: English etc. Lizzy were the best band ever but they weren't the product if Ireland alone. It was a melting pot of creativity.

What a great record. Im gobsmacked by the amount of racism in the comments. Music is a universal language that can touch everybody. It is there for everyone to be enjoyed. There are no boundaries on who can enjoy it. So embrace the music and let go of all the anger. There is plenty of that in our lives already.

Finding out this dude was British/Irish was one of the biggest mindfucks of all time. Dude sounds like a roughneck New Yorker in this song.

This brings back my adolescence. I hadn't heard of TOTP until 1979; but the music and fashions here are truly 70s. And punk and new wave was on the horizon in North America.

Seen these guys live on stage in a small town called Athy in southern Ireland back in the 70s. Simply the best rock band ever....
