Night at the museum ( get night access to the automotive museums) 6. Archive or Revive? I'm sure Sandys fans on KZfaq comments can come up with even better names and questions for the series. Questions to ask in the series : Why did it fail? Was it a fault of it's own? 1.Was it engineering 2. Cost 3. Marketing. 4 bearacracy 5. Outside world events ie war. Should it be reborn or can we use one of its concepts? All too many of history's good ideas or concepts never leave the page or go beyond a prototype some for good reasons some not. Some should be reborn and some we should just learn lessons from so that our current projects don't meet the same fate. Would be such an awesome series and education learning these history lessons from Sandy and his team. And hey who know some awesome lost projects might even come to life. Please

Just curious what technology your curious about, automotive or other? But have you seen some of his topics on history? He has just touched on it and it's cool stuff. Also have you seen the video tour of their facility? They do and have done so much more than just tesla stuff and have a long history and expertise that would be fun to hear more of their insight. Also their is almost nobody on KZfaq doing videos about automotive history in this sort of way. It's also hard to go forward if you don't learn lessons from the past.

You misunderstood, Bricklin paid the $1200 themselves. Yugo did not 'lose" it.

@@shazam6274 I don't know if you're trolling me or if you really didn't understand what he was saying. Bricklin paid the extra money for all the additional safety equipment. So in essence, when it was time for bricklin to pay for the automobiles they were not going to pay any additional cost because bricklin already paid for the additional safety equipment. This means bricklin was basically paying for the original car that they had originally agreed to. There was nothing corrupt or illegitimate about it. Maybe Yugo was trying to squeeze a little extra money out of bricklin, but it's just basic negotiations. Bricklin was tougher in the negotiations because they had the higher ground. This is what the corporate environment is like. Groups go through negotiations. It seems like you're trying to paint a negative picture of bricklin as some kind of greedy person when they are not.

When he says "we added $1200" it is not money out of Bricklin's pocket, he means as improvement to make the car better and saleable in the US market. He says that Bricklin was going to make gross profit of $500 per car and that Yugo was not going to make any profit. As for being a greedy shyster, read the comments from people from Canada and look up the history of the Bricklin company. I had a friend who bought one in the late 70s. It rolled into a concrete wall and crushed the front of the car because those 2 "shock absorber pistons", had rusted together and did nothing. It took over 6 months to find parts to fix it.

@@shazam6274 I still think you're misunderstanding him. What he meant was he's not going to pay $1,200 twice. He already paid once for the safety improvements so he's not going to pay the company anything additional. The company may have been trying to raise the price up by $1,200 which would reflect the actual value of the vehicle. I don't know, we each seem to be interpreting what he said differently. It's easy to call anyone a greedy shyster. That pretty much describes everyone at the higher corporate level of any company. That's just how business is done and you are interpreting that as being a greedy shyster. It's kind of the same thing about all lawyers being scumbags. It's just a person's opinion and everybody has a different point of view. By your logic, Sandy Munro is also a greedy shyster. It doesn't mean he's a bad person, it's just how business is done.
