The ACR isn't so much underrated as Bushmaster messed it up and massively overcharged. Magpul made the original prototype called the Masada but Bushmaster got the contract.

I got one of the first 300blk jakl uppers and the bolt drags on the feed lips of pmags and doesn’t cycle

Own five PSAs (two Daggers, AK, AR10, AR15) and they feel and perform as well or better than any of my (much pricier) pieces. Most of the shit talking about PSA is from reddit-tier quality commenters that have no experience with them and just assume because it costs less it's crap or parrot things they've "heard". A lot of firearm companies are absolutely gouging customers for the same old stuff and that's another reason PSA should be embraced and supported, they are giving you far more for your dollar. Just keep an eye on their sales, there are times they will sell things from other brands for a fraction of the price compared other places. They actually care about the 2nd, not just profit margins. They are actively addressing having readily available affordable firearms and ammo out there. Yes, they are not perfect, but as you stated, they own their mistakes, they listen, and they continually improve. That's more than you can say about most other manufacturers.

I have a dagger and an AR. The dagger is fucking awesome and flawless, the AR is a piece of shit that malfunctions every time I go shooting. I put the AR in the safe and bought an import AK instead, but doesn't mean I hate PSA but their ARs really can be shit.

@adryenz that has absolutely not been my experience, I've built a few off their parts kits, got an A2, and their HR XM16E1 recently. The A1 only has a few hundred rounds through it but it's been fine, others have much higher round counts without issue. I can pretty comfortably say you got a lemon, maybe your gas block walked off center, or your extractor broke. Regardless, call PSA on Monday and I think they'll take care of you.

Although I don't own a single PSA as of now, I've always thought the same. These guys are helping grow the 2nd here in our country. Well spoken sir.

​@@nicojurofor real, if you've tried some of the basic stuff (try different ammo, try different mags, clean and lube, allow some break in rounds) and it hasn't worked, reach out to PSA. While their customer support might have been a little lacking when they were first taking off, I can say now that they are fantastic. Reach out to them, and I'm sure they will be happy to get your gun up and running, ESPECIALLY if it was purchased as complete.

Because their guns are garbage. They're not cut out for serious use.

I think that’s more of a self imposed feeling of being looked down upon or “judged”. The reason I say that is because most of us who have been gun nuts, for as long as we can remember, are typically pretty happy to see other guys getting into it. The more the merrier! I would love to see every man or woman, with a good head on their shoulders, get into the gun world. We need everyone’s involvement. I’m sure there are some guys who pretend like they’ve been doing it for ages but the reality of it is they’re most likely new as well because most gun guys LOVE the opportunity to show off their guns and let others shoot them. The best compliment a gun guy can receive is “dude that’s the best shooting rifle I’ve ever felt” or “wow I have to get one of these!” and that compliment won’t happen unless there are new people around! Haha However, IF there is someone looking down on you for that, it’s most likely a liberal man who panics at the thought of a his boyfriend’s panties giving him a wedgie lol and that “man” isn’t even remotely worth listening too. Both are fantastic. Both are really cool - especially if you want a reliable piston gun, but don't want to drop $2k+ I would eventually love to get a BRN 180, but the monolithic rail and simplified service of the Jakl have me sold as to which one I would look at first. (I don't want to have to pull the forend to service the piston / gas port)

The BRN 180 is made by FM Products and PWS. Nothing to do with Primary Arms.

I live in a city and don’t hunt, so i do not have any firearm licensing. In Canada, there is no right to bear arms. So if you have a gun and don’t have it for a good reason, and especially without license, the consequences are serious. So I don’t get “hands on” experience with guns, and especially not anything automatic, military, or exotic. I like guns though, and think they are cool, so, by saying “i live vicariously through guntubers”, means that I get to have “gunfun” and knowledge by watching them, as I am not actually using firearms in my real life. Hopefully that answers your questions.😎👍🏻

@@ja0298 if you have a lower the works or are willing to pay 3x what a JAKL is.. however, short stroke piston guns are pretty good. And should be a little lighter than the JAKL.

At what gas level? My 220g subs would not feed the next round using 300BLK mags at every setting... it was bolt gun city. The 200g subs were like butter tho.

@@lucibvee Yeah, even at the hottest. It was the Ammo inc steITH 300subs, so probably just didn't like the ammo. The Winchester stuff ran fine. But it's still hard not to recommend the gun because it's so much fun to shoot suppressed.

I've built quite a few AR's and from my experience, the PSA upper with lower parts kits and lower receiver shoot just as well as my FN build. Imo, it's all the same shit, except for the barrel, any barrel that's chf and chrome lines is better than one that's not as far as longevity and anti-corrosion properties. Haven't noticed criterion barrels being better than FN barrels, not as far as accuracy and wear show, though I've seen minor differences in the machining of nitrided barrels under a bore scope from something like Ballistic Advantage vs BCA or PSA. However, even BCA barrels that don't look like it had super clean machining in the rifling still shoot sub moa with the right load 🤷. That said, I'll never spend $1500-$2000 on an AR. Not when I can build one that's even better for $1000 or even less. Take the time to wait for deals and get parts on sale due to "blemishes", I've built some nice AR's for a good value that way. If you can't build an AR that's reliable and runs better cheaper than you can buy a DD, SIG, ect, then your not meant to build the things and stick to buying the rifle off the shelf or have a certified gunsmith build it for you.
