Poppt1 if you see this, I’m pretty sure smash bracket once said if you get all the underdogs to look at smash bracket they could do a bonus episode with standins for each of the underdogs (shy guy for poppt, delibird for Little Z, etc.)

The problem with death battle is they make every battle seem close. Every single version of link solos ridley. If you give link every ability of every link the battle is over in a minute or less. Especially with botw link, or twilight princess link. Both are overpowered asf.

Have you played many Zelda games? I’m more familiar with link than Ridley so I don’t know all his abilities, but there’s some serious abilities link has that weren’t used in the fight so I’d be surprised if Ridley could put up a good fight against a fully powered link

metroid prime 3 is the strongest ridley ever got i think, he was borderline invincible if i remember. but ridley is also just as cunning as link. links just has way more powers cuz hes been in like 50 games. kind of an unfair matchup imo. he only won in that video cuz he has bullshit za worldo time stopping powers. they used meta ridley from prime 1 in this animation.

Sakurai made characters with mostly (!) moves from their source-material, so their smash moves, are (mostly) also their canonically moves or og-game moves :D Btw. anyone else ever used Terry's Up-B to hear him say "mighty tattoo"??? I just realized that with King Dedede, when I replayed Kirby's Dreamland on Switch Gameboy - his smash moveset is almost 1:1 taken from that final boss fight.

The animations are fantastic but I can't forget how they said fox's bombs surpass super sonic or gave him the speed advantage when the light speed shoes probably solo starfox on their own and sonic does kirby shit consistently.

For the record the drinking character in the wolf vs incin fight was Soda Popinski from Punch Out. Canonically he’s drinking soda.

depends on the game. if it's the wii one then yes, but in prior games it's vodka. it became soda for censorship reasons

You and some other KZfaqr should get a mod of the game where everyone’s at their canonical strength. Like have their attack and defenses skewed to fit how strong canonically, so Olimar would do like .1% and take a billion, while Bayonetta would deal 100% and take like…a bit of damage. But let’s not have stuff like the Fire Emblem characters getting critical hits, OHKO potential, etc, Ganondorf being straight up immortal, Sephiroth being immune to the “statuses…” but the actual bosses are like that…so, maybe? Also MANY more things I’m not going over, just add some very potent multipliers to the attacks and defenses.

I feel like he wouldnt react to Death Battle even if he knew about it because theres too many characters who he doesn't know. With Smash Bracket, they are all in Smash so he would at least have a basic understanding on who they are.

Sadly, not a valid strength feat. The second he touches something it becomes weightless, and physical strength isn’t a factor when determining how strong a hit against something is. His few physical feats aren’t anything crazy either. Just a netherite sword trumps almost anything he can do unarmed

They used the HW model because they were doing a composite for Link, giving him everything the character has ever had. HW link was a good cross between his designs over the years
