I'll always remember that save in the playoffs series in '02 versus Boston, where he swung his left arm around his back to make an insane no-look, goal-line save with the blocker.

Arguably one of the best saves I've ever seen given. His performance that night also changed the series after the hit Zednik the previous game

Haunted by the year Theodore robbed both Iginla and Roy of hardware with his most 1st place votes. He was great though but only for a limited time but I'd say he was better than people give him credit for. I sort of liked him, right catching goalies are a strange fascination.

He was good up until the Québec media absolutely tore him to shreds Québécois will remember how harassed he was during the Guy Cloutier scandal despite having nothing to do with it, same with the SharQc affair

He was basically a good goalie who had one fantastic season and everyone assumed he was an elite level goalie, but he never really got back to that level ever again. He was basically a top 15 goalie for most of his career. Not everyone is going to be Patrick Roy, and especially with everything else going on with the roster post-Roy, there was no way Theodore was going to live up to expectations long term. Not behind that team, anyway. Think a less talented late 90s Canucks. It was that bad, from what I remember and I was secondary Habs fan going back to 1992. Watching my 2 favourite teams fall apart shortly after going to the finals was not much fun.

I remember, coming out of the lockout season, Theodore was one of the goalies who said it'll take some time to adjust to the face off circles being moved. Seeing his 05-06 stats make sense now. He is a good goalie since he did improve his numbers after, while playing for meh teams.

I've been a fan of Jose's since I was 9 years old when he stole that game against New Jersey to prevent a sweep back in 97 and was also happy to see that he caught right like I did when I collected his rookie cards the following year. I was glad to see everyone saw the Jose Theodore I've seen every night when he stood on his head for the Habs in 2002 and stole a playoff series. He had his ups and down in Montreal after that but still had a decent career considering that he transitioned to a new era of hockey in the 'new NHL' where lots of goalies struggled to adapt to. Still have a soft spot for Theo for bringing me my first good memories as a Habs fan and always will.

How about a career video on Mike Lalor, stay at home defenceman who played from 1986 (won the Cup) to 1998. Retired as part of Dallas with one year left on his contract, which may have won him a second Cup with Dallas in 1999

Jose Theodore got his 250th career win with the Minnesota Wild; he had a pretty nice career in the NHL.

The Montreal AHL team played in my city as a kid. I remember watching Theodore and Vokoun play growing up

He was good. Could’ve been great but unfortunately, his mind wasn’t on hockey as much as it should’ve been. At least, he’ll be remembered for sporting that cool tuque at the 2003 Heritage Classic.

The man couldn't get out of the 2nd round of the playoffs. That game 4 collapse in 02 versus the Hurricanes wrecked him.

He played the first ever game for the Lake Erie Monsters in Cleveland in 2007, his last appearance in the minors.

Life is cruel sometimes. Theodore goes from Montreal, where he was seen as the next Patrick Roy to Colorado, where he was also expected to be the next Patrick Roy. Talk about an unfair amount of pressure put on his shoulders. Patrick Roy was a pretty tough act to follow, imagine having to do it twice.

Jocelyn Tebow Jose Theodore and huiet we’re all good goaltenders in my view the Canadians had a good stand with pretty good goalies, The problem is they did with the Sabres it after Hašek left they assume the next one would be just as good in those boys are rare. Thank God gor Ryan miller and i guess even biron

This guy was under a lot of pressure during his days in Montreal. A french-Canadian guy playing for the Canadiens who's showing a lot of potential, of course were gonna say that he could be the next Patrick Roy. Expectations went through the roof after the 01-02 season and I feel he just couldn't handle it. His main problem was his inconsistency. One day he could make 50 saves standing on his head and the next he wouldn't stop a beach ball. You just never knew what to expect with him.

Théo was a good guy. He got in trouble for slapping a dude harassing him at a McD's and my dad got the case. My dad dropped the case and asked him if he would come visit one of my cousins who had gotten in a huge accident, he showed up with his then gf. Class act.

I always like Theodore. You forgot to mention when he scored a goal playing for Montreal! He was a great goaltender but he always seemed to lose focus when he needed to step up for Colorado.

Theodore was miraculous for Washington in ‘09. I really do think Boudreau blew it when he pulled him after game 1 against the Rags.

Good video. He was a good goaltender but the main problem with him was all the gossip around him off the ice in Montreal: the weird injuries, going out with Paris Hilton, the father-in-law going to jail, relationship with crime orgs.... Montreal was not a good place for him. He would have been so much better in another city.

Keep doing what you're doing as you put most of ESPN's staff to shame- including some of the ex players/coaches/GMs.
