Such a feelin's comin' over me
There is wonder in most everything I see
Not a cloud in the sky
Got the sun in my eyes
And I won't be surprised if it's a dream
Everything I want the world to be
Is now coming true especially for me
And the reason is clear
It's because you are here
You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen
I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world
Something in the wind has learned my name
And it's tellin' me that things are not the same
In the leaves on the trees and the touch of the breeze
There's a pleasin' sense of happiness for me
There is only one wish on my mind
When this day is through I hope that I will find
That tomorrow will be just the same for you and me
All I need will be mine if you are here
I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world

Her voice is too good for the living world anyways. Plus, this is the type of music you would always hear in Heaven and it's best she's there so she can make it possible.

So true and songs were recorded on analog tapes from 1950-80s there was no digital recording to alter her voice in 1970s. Unlike artist of today, (David Bowie who know music industry) once said 90% artist voices are altered "Adele" does not sound same in concerts. Takes this just "matter opinion"

I harken back to 1973 at the Fantasia Skating rink in Sacramento California when it was time for the "ladies choice" segment of the program - this song was playing and the lovely young lady who skated along the edge searching for a partner chose me. My heart was thumping and my palms were sweaty but we managed to make it through to the end of the song. I never saw her again but this song still brings goosebumps. I’m a Japanese girl and They are my mom’s favorite and I’ve been listening and singing their songs since I was like 5 or 6. I didn’t know English back in time :) these were my first English songs I listened. Now I’m 18 and learning English for 6years. I think it’s because I’ve been in love with English songs since I first heard Carpenters’ songs. I entered a high school which has an English course and I met a friend who love Carpenters there! Sometimes life can be hard, my mom had diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease that can’t be recovered. And I’ve diagnosed with a lupus which can’t be recovered too. but somehow, listening to their songs makes me think life is still great and there’re more fun things waiting for me ;)

But in the 70´s.... Abba, TheCarpenters or J.Cash orJohn Denver (f.e.)are also part of my live and favorites in music!!! Greetings from Germany B.L.

How did mankind come into existence!? There must have been the Creator because where there is design there must be a designer and you are designed. When we look at the of Jesus Christ, and he taught that there is God the Creator. What makes me conclude that there life after death is the way Jesus Christ followers had to die painful death without fear!! There must be a ring of truth in what Jesus Christ taught which we read in the Bible. Bye but let be personal.

Nobody, nobody will ever have a more magnificent voice than her. Upon, hearing her sing, it gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes. It also hurts to know that Karen could very well still be alive even to this day.

Such a feelin's comin' over me There is wonder in 'most ev'ry thing I see Not a cloud in the sky, got the sun in my eyes And I won't be surprised if it's a dream Everything I want the world to be Is now comin' true especially for me And the reason is clear, it's because you are here You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation And the only explanation I can find Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around Your love's put me at the top of the world Somethin' in the wind has learned my name And it's tellin' me that things are not the same In the leaves on the trees and the touch of the breeze There's a pleasin' sense of happiness for me There is only one wish on my mind When this day is through I hope that I will find That tomorrow will be just the same for you and me All I need will be mine if you are here I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation And the only explanation I can find Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around Your love's put me at the top of the world I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation And the only explanation I can find Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around Your love's put me at the top of the world
