As popular as this CofB is with myself , and others, it was a no brainer to back the KS. Great that you like this edition and also enjoy the solo play. I play solo a lot. Hopefully my copy arrives soon.

This is the third version of the game I've bought because it's good enough to warrant a production at this level. Hopefully this will be the last version I'll need to buy. 😂

Glad you’re enjoying the solo mode. I mirror your thoughts about Vineyards. If you include, then you can’t ignore them.

I have the anniversary edition that came out a few years ago. It has the white dice castles; the crane; the wild geese; the goods tiles tracks and the arch things which I agree are an unnecessary tack on. I designed, printed and painted my own 3D tiles which look great. ( the only ones I didn’t make were the animals) so I decided not to invest in the new stunning big box, but I do like the idea of the new solo mode which does look far more compelling and the vineyard expansion looks great!

I'm a big fan of The Castles of Burgundy and for a long time I wished that there was a Deluxe version. I know I'm probably in the minority but I just don't like the way it looks and now that it's here I don't have any interest. I have to admit that the Vinyard expansion looks cool though.

@@DriveThruReview Oh, sorry I didn't make it clear - unless I am missing something, I thought the acrylic tiles were an add-on and not an integral part of the special edition?

@@mikolajwitkowski8093 Oh.. yes.. they are an add-on. Identical to the cardboard.. just acrylic.
