It’s not that. KDs passing outlets were not viable and his windows shrunken because the Celtics would swarm him. It’s like what the warriors did against the thunder. It is also partly KDs fault because he does miss some wide open passes to good shooters but most of the time the Celtics were helping off of non shooters.

the celtics know that kevin durant is, if not, the most offensively skilled player in the league. He’s an absolute sniper, so yeah obviously they played crazy good defense on him. Its the same thing they did to giannis. The only person their defense didn’t work against was lebron, but ofc Lbj the king. (Also yes, celtics were fouling the shit outta KD and it wasn’t getting called lol, but hey at least we got to see physical ball, instead of soft shit)

KD couldn’t handle the physicality because he is too frail along with the fact that he tore his Achilles and lost a lot of athleticism and speed which made it even harder for KD to get open or create space. Also Boston have stronger and better defenders 1-5 that can switch

If you foul on every play the officials will eventually stop calling them (human nature) It’s a good strategy if you have a team of ultra athletic aggressive players. Remember when the Georgetown Hoyas employed the same idea to win the NCAA title? Hacking as a team is the only way you can stop KD (he’s too tall and too skilled)

How does giving more credit to a player that lost 3-1 against that very team.
