I will never be a memory - perhaps Sephiroth's words ring true as Final Fantasy VII continues to shock, awe and shift in the minds of players as the anthology plays out with its compilation and Remake material. In this episode we take a look back to Final Fantasy 7 release in 1997, and the historical context of that era for Squaresoft and RPG production. And we chart FF7s course over the years with subsequent compilation material and the most recent Remake, particularly how this has changed our ideas and perception of the game, and its story, since its release all those years ago.
