​@@davidgraham8058it's so debatable and you can probably give it if you're being lenient. Of course it was West Germany which should be seen as a different entity to modern Germany. Colloquially West Germany were often referred to just as Germany or Germans by the British especially within a football context. Further, the current German national team has inherited the honours of West Germany and therefore it wouldn't be wrong to say Germany won the World cup in 1990. I can understand why you'd accept it as an answer, although you could probably appeal.

They should have stopped him on the boxing question - he corrected himself for sure but if that was the contestants they would have taken the first answer and classed it at incorrect - so its a bit of a robbery imo

I think the rules are supposed to be that if you stop and restart before finishing the answer, you're allowed it. Mark hadn't started saying Holyfield before he aborted the answer and changed to the correct one, so it was allowed

@@trellgold6998 I think it used to be Jenny and then Darragh, but Anne has the best win/loss ratio, Shaun is statistically the easiest chaser to beat as both his win/loss ratio and record against full houses are by far the weakest of the six of them. Jenny has the best record against a full house in the final chase, winning around 68% of the time, but also only Anne, Paul and Jenny have lost to a single player after all four players were caught in their head to heads (lazarus).

Very nasty question under time stress though, it's so easy to overthink a step. He was probably just flabbergasted at both the relative ease of the question and that it started off like that.

@@gameshowclips He did surprisingly poor on WWtbaM, but he's not a guy who gets every question right. He's a guy who gets MOST questions right and in rapid succession. So with 61 questions where recall speed is a huge factor, I think Jeopardy would be right in his wheelhouse.

It's one of those "wait did I hear that right" questions. It's not difficult at all, but it does make them think before answering. Both the "your mother's mother" and "your sister's mother" took a few extra seconds where the chaser wanted to answer, stopped, could be seen walking through the question again, and then answering hesitantly.

It'd have been if he said a last name completely, but according to the rules you can change if you haven't completed a recognizable answer and didn't stop before correcting. So yeah, it's technically right, but also kinda on the edge.
