This is our most labor intensive project yet, but you won't believe the transformation. K8lynn and I flip the rear axle to the top of the spring pack, install a cheap eBay lowering kit, find some new wheels and tires, and finally get to hear what the 350 small block sounds like with no mufflers.

The heavy springs and the sway bar on that truck probably mean it used to have a slide in camper in it in the past. Those springs and sway bar would help with the additional weight, and the sway bar would keep it from rolling too much in the corners. Love the content, keep it up!

hey bud im retired now 30 years in EMS and FIRE it does my heart good to see you working on that ole truck i myself have a one ton 1974 and a 1979 chevy 4X4 4 inch lift and im in my 60s and still love my old trucks

My first square body was an '82, have had a half-dozen more since then including a few 4x4's, 2 longed dually 4 doors, and a K5 blazer. Loved my time as an EMT in a small town volunteer department.

Newer chassis and suspension components, rebuild the flathead v-8, and keep the character of the 84 year old body, including the patina.

Wish I could put a picture in comment of my c10 truck I did the same thing ur doing to urs nice looking square body instead of cutting my springs I did spindle drops what yr is that truck ur working on mine is a 84 with a 89 front core support

This one is an '81. I'm shopping drop spindles right now because I don't think I can cut the springs 2.5 inches to get 5 inches of drop with just the springs.
