The Chemical Brothers - Elektrobank (Live Looping Cover)

Күн бұрынMy live looping cover of the song Elektrobank by The Chemical Brothers! From the amazing album Dig Your Own Hole, which is their best album by far if you ask me. It was a lot of fun, enjoy the show!
All sound is created live, using my BeatStep and Ableton Live for live looping, except for the drum samples and the crowd cheering sample which are triggered live. I did apply some post-production afterwards like automation to get a more dynamic mix. Though, low and high pass filters are controlled live by foot pedals.
No audio or timing of anything is pre-arranged on the time-line. Only the lights are pre-programmed using MIDI clips, but they are triggered live by the audio loops. I control my lights using my own MIDI to DMX converter. I made a video about this in particular: • How to build your own ...

@@bassjansson When the track got released, the Chemical Brothers told BBC Radio 1 that the vocal was : "Who is dis doin' this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin'?". Now, they kinda lied because it is in fact "fuckin" not "funkin". But they wanted the track to get radio play, and the BBC believed them at the time. However, you seem to be saying "fowl play" rather than "alpha beta" at aroud 4:44. Am I hearing correctly? Anyway, good job on this cover. Looks like you were having fun.
