Such a brilliant film that was so overlooked & poorly marketed, (streaming a week before it was thrown into a few theatres). Emma Thompson is so good in this film and then so good, a year later in the serio/comic film, "Late Night". Her talent is immeasurable. If i believed in all of the Hollywood nonsense - Academy Awards, etc., I would think she wld hv deserved recognition. It seems her joy is in the work itself. This film is so wonderfu & fueled by fine acting by actors - not lottery winning movie stars. This a remarkable film.

Honestly both are in the wrong. But jack is just trying to get her to listen so he threw the emotional hand grenade of im going to have an affair because everything else has failed

It's so interesting for a change to see the man wanting more, usually it's the "needy" wife who demands more time couple from her partner because he works too much.
