Oh wow this made me want to cry nostalgic tears. Ijust lost my dad a few months ago and my mum 2 years ago. Seeing the tree farm brought memories of Mum carrying a thermos of hot chocolate while Dad was dragging me on my sled to go cut down our Christmas tree. And the glass Christmas ball ornaments were just like the ones from my childhood. Treasured family memories.

When I was a kid we always had tinsel on our trees. My older sister was systematic in placing them carefully and thoughtfully on the tree while my brother and I would simply toss them up as high as we could and let them fall haphazardly until they hit the tree. This brought back a lovely memory for me. What a great video. Thank you for sharing.

The most beautiful tree I have ever seen was a real tree (exactly like this one) decorated with white lights, white ornaments, and then tinsel was put perfectly on each branch! When lit it was spectacular!

Well..it is Aug. 4 and 94 degrees here in Philadelphia! What a pleasure it is for my husband and I to watch this now. Together 39 years, Christmas and Halloween are our two favorite times. The tree is beautiful!!

It was so sweet watching y'all decorating together. Y'all chose the perfect tree!! Love the gingerbread house. And that tree!! The icicles (tinsel) brought back so many memories! My mom loved icicles and colored lights on the tree. Mom and Dad would put the lights on, then we would all put on the ornaments. But when it came time for icicles...that was all Mom!! I swear I think she put them on 1 piece at a time! She always made it so perfect!!!! My holidays aren't the same since my parents have passed. But I'm starting to get back into the groove of things since my grandchildren have been born! I wish we carried on family traditions as much as we did when I was growing up but it's so hard now a days since my children are all grown and having their own families and everyone has so many different people to visit during the holidays! It just makes it so hard to get everyone together and on same schedule for the family to all be together at once! Sorry for just blabbing on so long!! 😂 But everything is beautiful as always!! Basically what I have done this season -although every time you decorate it always looks so perfect.

Tinsel always reminds me of the Christmas tree at my Grandfather house. When your a little kid its the twinkle that tinsel adds to the tree. I don't use it but I still love it. So we hot glue the gingerbread house together. So we are on the naughty list. Have a great day.

I love this whole video so much. I haven't gone to a real Christmas tree farm in ages. Some of that is due to the fact I live in the middle of the forest in the Rocky Mountains but still going and cutting a tree with family and friends is such a fond memory. We always went to a tree farm in N. Cal when I lived there and they had a fire pit going all day and they served warm cider for you to drink while you were waiting for them to wrap your tree. My ex-husband always cut the tree and always wanted to cut the first one we came to. Once he realized that we were going to look at every single tree in the lot, he would sit in front of the fire, drink cider and visit with stranger's for hours. The reason I haven't had a real tree in quite a while is my cat seems to like messing with the real trees and not the fake ones so no real tree for me. Like others, that tinsel is a real tug at my memories. Tinsel and old ornaments. Drinking hot chocolate while we decorated and having Christmas music playing to sing along with. I live alone now and while I still decorate each year, (I will until I am not physically able to do it), it is really just for me. Yes, this video struck a chord with me. Also, glad to see Tim in your video. I think he is like me and avoids the camera like crazy. You are making wonderful memories that will last your lifetimes. Thank you for this video Christopher.
