I don’t know about the current situation in Zimbabwe is, but growing up in the 80s & 90s there used to be family planning ladies who used to go into communities providing contraception to women. The govt needs to bring this back so that we can at least have an option to avoid some of these cases especially nemadirwo anoitwa nyoro.

The original statement goes like, “Munhu akanaka akarara “ and literally means “a human being is only good/trustworthy when asleep”… when he wakes up, his mind starts plotting evil thing… in the context of this guy, he’s just saying you can only trust a woman while she’s asleep… statement was coined/popularised by a legend of Zimbabwean Sungura music by the name Paul Matavire on the song “Akanaka Akarara”
