I grant that Miami is a fascinating city and this guy has made a career claiming that it’s the center of the universe, but I think it’s more unique than symbolic of U.S. culture. If you're referring to the building that fell earlier this year, that had nothing to do with rising sea levels. It was caused by a sink hole and negligence from inspectors. Florida is essentially a giant sandpit on several giant aquifers. Sinkholes are extremely common even In Central Florida and have been occurring for as long as we've been in florida. I know the tides will eventually rise and become a problem but I think that won't be the case for another few decades

I live in south florida and yes we do have king tides and nobody calls it what billy calls it. Miami is sinking because it was reclaimed wet land. the sea level is not affecting the land at all except during king tides which has happened since I came here in 1980.
