13 billion can be used for the rail transport systems all over Nepal, which will increase intra-tourism in Nepal and might reduce many bus accidents. We already have 3 big airports which is sufficient for Nepal. Now it's time for a rail transport system, the basic airport in every district if possible needed. After that, if in future such a big airport is needed then future generations will be built this.

I believe, in Nepal we do not have good diplomats and foreign ministry because of which they are not able to crack geopolitics with India and going in loans with China because that’s easier. Lumbini Airport would fail miserably if they do not find a way. Airport haina, Ramro and intellectual foreign ministry and diplomats chahiyo. Country needs good neighbours and neighbour is not made by loans but by relationship.

Hats up for your hard work sir. In my view this airport might have huge impact on national economy, besides that there are many things we are destroying. We need to search for other alternative rather then going for this mega project. We could work on existing international airport. Budget Flight routes, Cutting the hill of pokhara airport, and so on.

Natural Resources gonna be the biggest asset in future so nepal needs to preserve it. Infrastructures might be the super power right now but not in the future for sure.

Nijgadh airport not only an airport but it’s a game changer development project with potential of increasing national income n GDP. Singapore airport shops does business of 4 or 5 billion USD yearly n they encourage travellers to pass through airport n not necessarily entering into city! Many such ideas can be interwoven with this,. Of course it has to be done properly using international expertise n experience as we don’t have those. Always there will be people who will block it for their interest or ignorance, eg. Arun project not hers. Starting first MBBS course in Teaching Hospital was so difficult because of brodhs of some experts, now it’s history! People of area esp Bara n Rautahat need to raise voice n demand to start this ASAP. May God bless us all.

Pahila bhako Airport ko proper utilization huna paryo... 1960s ma when yo kura pahila aako thiyo it made much sense as Nepal had a huge opportunity to be the only International airport in South East Asia operating in Hub and Spoke model. Ahiley Hub and spoke model ko jamana ni gayi sakyo.... Ahiley hub and spoke model ko time ni gayi sakyo... All new airlines are trending towards Point to point airports and the aircraft like B787, and A350 are designed with this thing in mind. And someone in the video was talking about "Emergency Landings" ... ahiley ko jamana ko aircraft are so well maintained ki its very rare for them to have emergency landings. You cannot rely on them to make business. Ahiley ko focus bhaneko kaarari Gautam Budhha Int. Airport ra Pokhara Inter. Airport lai worthy banauney ho so they can pay off their debt tira focus huna parcha. Govt. should introduce subsidiaries to airlines operating in those airports. Jun amount ma hariyo ban jungle masiney kura hudai chan, this is way too much and our next generation will not forgive us for this.

For an airport to run on full capacity, it needs to be a hub for major airlines company. I live in a major city like Berlin and its new airport is far away from being a profitable airport because there is no major airlines based on Berlin.

There was no alternative to constructing NIA but not in it's proposed size & capacity but with a capacity that could handle 3 - 4 times the current passenger movement at TIA . But then PIA & BIA happened due to short-sighted corrupt nature of our political leaders. Now NIA should not go ahead in any form. That budget is much needed & 100x better utilized in other infrastructure projects lke roads, Health care, Education etc.

One of the reasons to oppose the construction is shifting of water table of that region as well. It is one of the best location in Nepal for fisheries (Pokhari). Sarkar le afaile nai tyo thau lai xuttyayeko xa. Tya water table tala jada ahile bhayeka Pokhari n sukne ani further tyaha ko locals (Whole Bara District may be affected) lai nai gaaro parxa.

Government should disclose the feasibility study of these kind of project. Further it should be thouroughly discussed in parliament. These kind of project needs detailed discussion. Look at gautam buddha airport. It was constructed without assurance of ILS system. And when Nijgad airport comes to operation then what about the Gautam budhha and pokhara int. airport? How will these airport compete with each other? I dont think we need lots of int. airport. Rather, if possible, there should be railways track for long distance travel.

Why not make Simara Airport as an international airport? In future it's expected that a railway line would pass from Birgunj to Kathmandu as well. Nepal could build a Rapid Railway Transit System from Kathmandu - Simara. What about this?

The first question is, Do we have the demand for an airport that Indiragandi International Airport can not meet.

Simara airport should be considered and extended. It has potential to be hub airport as there is plain area as well as no forest. It can be easily connected with fast track too.

The Supreme Court has given a decision to look for alternatives as well . If the netas insist on making another airport why are they hesitant to explore other alternatives? Why are they hellbent on clearing this jungle ? The possibility of murtiya , expansion of Simra can also be explored! But the need of Nepal is not another mega project rather the completion of the ongoing ones . We do not need another airport and just like Me Lalit Bikran Shah has suggested talk to the right people in India, get air route clearance for the existing airports, start running them at a profit and then maybe think of another major airport! Stop putting us in a debt trap ! I so agree with Anil ji , lohani ji for trying to make people see sense !
