Get rid of that E.V I’ve never seen anyone so stressed over a car. Thanks so much for all your efforts Lee, perhaps a nice break is what you need.

I may be wrong but I took that video as a bit "tongue in cheek” a kind of sarcastic look at running an EV. I personally will never go back to an ICEV. Let’s get our keyboards warmed up for a battle. I do agree with the taking a break thing though, it usually doesn’t end well if your favourite hobby becomes your livelihood.

I never really comment on videos, but this particular video struck a chord with me. It takes a brave man to admit they are broken, I myself have very recently found myself in tears in front of my partner and two young children and having to go to my old and very unwell Dad to ask for help. The haters will hate and no matter what your mindset or attitude they will eventually pull you down. The content that you make really helps me on my journey towards mental peace if you like. I always holiday in the UK and first found you when searching on KZfaq for Scarborough as we were due to go on Holiday there in 2021 and your video popped up. I have since watched all your Blackpool, Whitby and other videos round the UK and they get me the wife and the kids psyched up for going on our holidays. Whether you upload once per day or once per month we will continue to watch. Lots of love and best wishes from a slightly pissed but definitely broken Scotsman who finds solace and pleasure in your content.

I burnt myself out completely. I was a self employed builder and worked 6 and sometimes 7 days a week. I loved working hard, the harder the work the more I loved it. Then at 42 my body began to give out to the point I’m now disabled. I ignored my body telling me to slow down and paid the price.

Please excuse this long message, and I do hope you read it all, because I feel I need to say something.. It's been just over 3 months since I first discovered you and your videos, but in this short space of time I've never been more thankful in all my years on here, of finding a channel and a host that I am so glad never passed me by. Lee, you are the nicest guy I've ever had the pleasure of not meeting. You're so humble, so engaging, friendly, honest, and your videos have entertained me more in these 3 months than anyone's. I've warmed to you in a way I didn't think was possible. You are honestly and truly, a pleasure to watch. Having seen your life change these last few weeks, it's safe to say you've gone above and beyond for us. But I think you're living your life through our eyes, not through your own, and that's the shame. You need to take a step back, not too far, but far enough that KZfaq isn't pushing you to further ill health. Whilst wishing you all the best with your ongoing recovery. I do agree with what you pointed out about needing to appreciate more and see life through your own eyes, I think you're seeing life through KZfaq's eyes and missing out on what's important, not absorbing what it is you're ultimately seeing around you. Yes it's important to have money and doing what you enjoy, but it's never worth the cost of health and time spent with those close. Videos will last, our time and health doesn't. We don't care about algorithms changing, the loyal "friends" will always watch your videos "onwards" because we want to, not because KZfaq says we should.. If you need to take a break then please do it, we'd rather have you here less than not at all. I wish you every success in the world going forward and can't wait to see more videos, in moderation of course! All the best.

@RH-1977 absolutely concur and agree and second every word you have typed for lee; absolutely outstanding guy; humble; honest; genuine; just a really really nice guy - whom i hope recovers fully and i believe sadly and regretfully he had the needle craft which i honestly have led to the clots in his hgb - lee is blessed and fortunate to have survived and hopefully he takes precious time with his loved ones and stops allowing the elite gobshites who came up with death trap e.v's and the needle craft and now killing of cattle and other meat sources and poisoning us with 5G and chem trails and putting needle craft in foods drinks like sodas etc as unnamed to desperately try to wipe as many billion from the planet whilst they continue to use the blood of infants and children for youthful longevity this i believe to be fact rather than conspiracy and lee and so many have been on receiving end of consequences and lee is a breath of fresh air - i so wish he would not give the e.v elites brain space nor the evangelist e.v left wing fascist extremist nut jobs time of day for lee's in need of peaceful living without the aggro and stress which accompanies it

Hi, glad to see your on the mend, I burnt out at 29 from just working too hard just to provide for my family. I've only started doing videos to help and teach people how to do stuff, if I don't pass on what I've learnt over a lifetime before I kick the bucket it's lost . I'm running an classic engineering business and do videos when I can and that's where it stops. I learnt from burning out at 29 nothing is worth you health and I'm now 57 and don't give a monkeys what anyone else thinks. Look after yourself, it's too late when your gone.

If You choose to KZfaq then you choose to expose yourself to all the issues you raise. It's not rocket science, you make a lot of money from it so you have to take the bad with the good. I have watched and enjoyed and liked many of your videos, but I feel I must point out that, what you do, you do because you enjoy the spotlight. Cope with it or pack it in.

Listening to this was like hearing my own story and probably many others youtubers stories. I thought all of this through before I started my channel and deliberately didn't get on the hamster wheel. I produce a video once every 2/3 weeks and thats it. Obviously my channel is teaching British Indian Restaurant style curries at home so I couldn't practically make daily videos. The passion would have died. But I totally get the need not to vanish and the work involved, ie, ideas, filming, editing, uploading, typing, SEO, promoting, comments, emails etc, it's actually never ending. My sister in law had the cheek to belittle what I did and referred to as a silly little hobby. Her 9-5 Admin job pales into insignificance compared to what we have to do. Apart from anything else our thoughts are occupied 24/7 and that's part of the stress that can occur. The feeling of never being present in the moment. Even in Holiday in on my phone checking stuff. You actually don't get days off. Anyway, love your channel but go easy on yourself, reduce the level and you'll still get what you deserve. Take care. Al

Since you read all your comments, no doubt you'll read this one. I've been fortunate enough to have led a very interesting life. I've been involved in cars and motor-racing since I could walk and actually racing for more than 60 years! I served my country and, after a break when I lived and worked in America, I came home and was the CEO of what used to be the second fastest growing company in Europe. Along the way, I collected a number of Doctorates too. So, why am I boring you by blowing my own trumpet now? I'll tell you. I've NEVER allowed myself to be ruled by my work; so I've never been anywhere near to any kind of breakdown. In fact, listening to you and hearing how your life has bashed you about, I'm bloody thankful not to have shared your experience. The way I live my life is also the reason why I've never written anything biographical or opened a KZfaq channel - it sounds horrific! Oh, I can see that you enjoy what you do, that comes across very clearly; but I wouldn't want to pay the price that you have. Look after yourself Lee, you'd be a terrible loss to thousands of people if anything happened to you. All the haters and EVangelists would have to find someone else to tear apart - and they've worked so hard at denigrating you, poor dears. (You see, Lee, they don't know how small-minded they are) Your blooming Taycan seems to be really getting under your skin lately too. I fail to comprehend why you leased an EV in the first place - or were you just having a bad day? Get rid of the damned thing - now! Stop your payments and h and it back. Don't pay another penny on it; on the grounds that, having given it every chance possible, It's simply: "Not fit for purpose!" The finance company will squeal and threaten, but they'll know they can't win because you have many recorded hours of solid evidence to back up your statement. Then you can buy a top grade used self-charging hybrid (a Lexus would suit you) and be happy, debt free and able to enjoy motoring again. (You'd have the perfect weapon to beat Geoff too) That's it from me, keep on making brilliant videos for us all to enjoy. Good luck, have a fantastic 2024; I'll be watching - we all will.

You’re absolutely right Lee, everyone has their limit, a cut off point where their bodies and brains say they’ve had enough. It’s definitely not a sign of weakness when exhaustion or burnout strikes. It can happen to anyone. I’ve been working in the health sector for years and now and also more recently as a counsellor and have seen many people experience similar. As you know from personal experience, it’s a very scary thing when it happens. I’m so glad to hear you’ve slowed down a bit as not everyone heeds the warning their body is giving them. Well done for being able to slow down, it’s not easy. All the best…..❤❤

As a fellow content creator, i can sympathise with every single word you spoke. Until you’ve actually run a channel full time, i don't think you can really understand the amount of work that really goes on behind the scenes. It is something that completely takes over your life. KZfaq is a 24/7 job. Dont get me wrong, the rewards can be very good, but you do pay a high price for those rewards, especially with your mental well-being. In the past few weeks i've had to scale back my uploads due a few things going on behind the scenes, and it does feel like you get punished for taking any sort of break away from your normal upload routine. If you ever want to chat in private to a fellow creator, dont hesitate to contact me, as i know exactly what its like. Wishing you all the best mate 🙂 👍 Paul

Hi Lee. I was somewhat saddened to see this video but not totally unexpected as I commented in a previous one that I understood readin between the lines that there was more going on in you life and wished you the best. Well it has all come to a head now and you have been forced to recognise what you have been fighting against and unwilling to admit, that this had become somewhat of an obsession. Don't get me wrong I totally undestand having suffered a similar frame of mind and it's one not easy to come to terms with let alone change; but the time has come. I have for a couple of years followed your every episode (there's that obsession) as like you have a life long personal and business interest in food but also in patriotism and the political system with an aversion to over regulation and being told what is best by governments. Therefore your channel hit the spot as does others like Geoffbuyscars, GB News, Katie Hopkins and others who are now found to be leading the fight back after covid. This EV nonsense was the greatest hook and your passion against the control and inconceivable stupidity of this as a solution was hard to beat. But you were getting worked up, initially by the car but it became deeper didn't it. So now you've had your wake up call, heed it. You have a great way, a genuine passion for truth and we all want to see that continue for as long as we can rather than cut off due to ill health. In this video you have beared all, but pick it apart and the obsession can be seen and it took over your passion, the two are not the same. We need your research, your guidance and your ability to speak truth to the viewer in simple, friendly terms. We need you to be part of this movement to oppose tyranical policies, poor government and the creeping control we are all being subjected to. However your expertise has also come out in this and perhaps as a way of continuing on your KZfaq journey and for a short while recovering your health and well being perhaps share some of that expertise. Some instructional videos on equipment, camera use, editing; all things that will come easily to you I expect but benefit us all in understanding and perhaps progressing in some cases a life along side you as a trusted guide. This whilst still doing your usual topics but from time to time sitting at home talking about and explaining with some authority the subject field you know best. It will allow you a break and perhaps gain followers from a different segment all I would suggest with far less stress and effort whilst you recover. Sorry for the long chapter. All the very best Lee to you and your lovely family. On this Fathers' Day I would like to think I have made a worthwhile point. Take care.

I’m glad you aren’t affected by the haters, because I think in the main they are jealous of your success on KZfaq, and the holidays you have as well as your nice car (I’ve been considering getting an electric car, but I am put off with charging it on long journeys or trips to the coast). Dear Lee, my brother and best friend went through a gruelling process, a month in fact to ascertain whether he had cancer or not. During that time, he realised the true meaning of what's important and to drop things that are simply irrelevant. Also self preservation and upmost, it lent clarity. Thank God, like you all is okay. I feel in this video, you are on a very similar path. You are mu age, my brother a little younger. At our ages, we are at a pivotal stage anyway. What you shared with us in this video is a result of coming out the other side of a dark abyss, only to lend clarity and wisdom. This is such a great thing Lee. We must realise our mortality and appreciate the things that matter like family and our individual happiness, that is real to us. If you have suffered my 'war and peace' to this stage, I wish you ultimate happiness with your endeavours and look forward to many years of great, witty and humourous content! 👍🏻

I found one bizarre thing with KZfaq. I once spent ages on a video, editing it (maybe about an hour or so) and it got about 20 views. I did a Shorts video that lasted 15 seconds and within a couple of days, I had over 1K views! Crazy!!!! I totally agree with you about the algorithms and was really just wanting to give you a big hug when you said you were in tears before you set off. It just goes to show that things like that make you realise what is what and I guess, brings you back to reality in some sort of thing, if you know what I mean. If I do see you in person at any time, I will give you a handshake and man-hug and wish you and your family all the best. Just keep doing what you enjoy and if it's less KZfaq and more family time then that's what you have to do :D

Keep on keeping on Lee. Those writing negative comments are just showing themselves up as fun sponges, wringing out whatever they can get in the hope of getting you down to their own miserable and empty lives. In future I'd better remind myself of this comment, so I don't fall in to the same trap! 😉😊

Lee you’re great. I’m sure 99% of people watch your channel because they like it and you. I got rid of my Fitbit because every morning I was looking how it told me I’d slept, which usually was 💩 since it went I’ve never slept better. Motto of the story, there’s always an alternative. 👍

Hi Steven. I worked in Advertising. You might not like the Click Bait. However. It works and it also encourages more people to subscribe. Hence Virgin Flight Disaster. Over 575 new subscribers. Now imagine if I called it. A flight on Virgin Atlantic where absolutely nothing happens. :0) It's like DFS SALE NOW ON!!! Ends Monday at 9am. It works. xx

Sadly Lee, I've seen similar videos from other KZfaq vloggers. Such a shame that you're all driven to such a state. You just keep on doing what you're doing. I'd sooner see better quality content infrequently than a hastily cobbled together edition just to meet a ridiculous target. And try to ignore the haters. They have to say things like that because they have shallow mediocre lives and they want to be heard.

Lee, please get your work/life balance in balance. I was working 5 days per week, with huge amounts of overtime and weekends, too. My body stopped me by getting cancer. I now work 3 days per week, and I'm "punished" by less income, I have my "haters" too because my work isn't done quickly enough for their liking... but I'm alive, and I'm enjoying life again. BTW, be aware that your personality won't change. Once you recover, you may revert to type and start doing a bit more and then a bit more, etc. Just remember to keep asking what is most important to you? Work or family and friends? Having said that, I look forward to your future vlogs...onwards my friend! 😊

Thankyou so much for this video. I didn't realise just HOW MUCH ( excuse the pun!) work went into your vlogs. Certainly the quality of them is way above anyone elses I've ever seen. But maybe do more straightforward videos ( not jumping over the camera and stuff like that - it all takes up more of your time) . I would and will watch anything you put out simply because you are you. A straight-talking bloke with a sense of humour and enthusiasm. You are interesting to watch no matter what the content - it could be anything! But your health comes first - stuff the algorithms! We'll still be here waiting for you. Stay well.❤

Wowsers. I realised that there was a lot of work involved to produce KZfaq videos, but I certainly did not realise how addictive it is. I also didn't realise how it can control your life by punishing you for taking a few days off ,due to the algorithm. Certainly an eye opener for me.

You say you lose money if you cut down on the videos, well so be it money is no good to you if you're dead. Everyone needs time to enjoy things in life such as family & friends, so make sure you take time to enjoy them. Look after yourself and remember you're lucky you've had a warning, not everyone gets that.

Wish you all the best, but its your choice how many videos you put out and how much you put in. Can't keep on blaming the algorithm. If you get a loyal group of subscribers then they'll get a reminder of your latest video whether you put one out every day or once a month. Maybe you're going for quantity over quality. If you spend a long time editing then why not try going for one long video a week / two weeks instead of so many short ones. If you genuinely are having health prohlems - then please deal with it with your family and close friends. They're your real friends. You don’t have to live out your whole life as a KZfaq drama.

My opinion is don't depend on You Tube to make a full-time job. I watch many You Tubers who do 1 new video every week or two. They have a "Life Balance". It should just be a "Fun Hobby". Don't feel You Tube can "Boss You Around" to film, film, film . Don't be addicted by it. Why do you worry about Algorithms? Views? You should not do it every day! Select 1 day to video or upload. I would say, don't make this a full-time job of it! Do it as a hobby and work a Real Job!. I like your videos, but doing one every day is way, too much! 1 video is great and we will look forward to your weekly video. Do this as a "Hobby", not a job...
