I used to work at stealer service departments. Never gave me a leg up. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes now.

Chapman dealerships in Arizona and Nevada DO NOT use that system if you need a new vehicle or service.

@markholubetz no prob. I just had warranty work done today. I dropped off my truck yesterday. The part was delivered this morning, and my truck was ready around 4 pm today. I talked with them today about the CDK thing, and they said it didn't affect them or any of their 28 dealerships because they use a different system.

@FirstLastt True, they do a lot of markups and dealer add-ons, but for someone who needs a vehicle and can't get one due to the CDK hack. At least they'll have options. Also, you can't really use the "lemon" argument against any dealership when it comes to new vehicles. After all, they don't make the vehicles. They just sell vehicles.

I bought that album at a garage sale for a quarter. Sometime around 1981, I think. "Vincent" is actually a better song. (Often wrongly referred to as Starry, Starry Night)

CDK is a horrible system anyways. Stuck 20 years ago with its technology. I hope it stays down and the industry moves on from it.

I talked to a couple of Salespeople today from 2 different Toronto Dealerships Regarding 2023 Dodge Rams V8 1500 , and their response for out the door price, ( even after a 20% Discount Off the 67,000.00 Msrp ) is 56,000.00 Take it or Leave it style Negotiation.

Dealerships have extremely poor information security and are stuck in the past. You walk into a dealership and fill out a credit application on their computer and you'll find past customer info saved as prefilled. You email a dealer and suddenly you'll get spam and phishing emails.
