I do love the a-train development but it's really hard to take deep seriously even when he's being evil for some reason, probably because of how hard he chokes on that Homelander meat despite all he did to him. I'm more worried about him badly influencing the new noir,since he seems to be a decent guy at least from what we've seen of him.

I honestly love that they specifically went this far with him. I probably would've been disappointed if they'd just had him remain as a pathetic jackass with the occasional moment where you can kind of empathise. But instead they made him a proper mirror of A Train. As A Train has been opening his eyes to the kind of man he us and deciding that he doesn't want to be like that anymore. Deep has just gotten worse. He's taken every opportunity to push himself that little bit further up the totem pole. Deep is the kind of character where you can sympathise with his backstory but not his current state. I can understand thyit must've been horrible to be the kid who got bullied and probably treated like a freak by even his family because he kept saying he could talk to fish. But as he got older he's actively chosen to take that pain and use it as a template of the misery he wants to exert onto others now that he has that power.

He could be anyone else. HL is evil more based in the belief he’s better than everyone and desires love . Deep just doesn’t wanna be made fun of anymore and actually has seen himself as lower than other people . Big differences in their insecurities . And HL never “turned evil “ he’s always been this way due to nature over nurture .
