Hey LK! Now that strive is out would you consider doing something similar? I got a stick for strive but I am struggling getting used to it or which fingers to use when pressing buttons. Just cant find a comfortable spot to map RC and Dash. Looking at your play having those mapped seemed important. Love the channel!

Ive seen people use 2 fingers to press buttons index and middle finger at the the same time for combos and everything else but its hard for me, how do you do it and what do you think is more efficient?

Great video. It can be a little tough at first since you know you can pull shit off better on the pad, but players might be surprised how quick it can feel more natural. I learned more by accident since I had some hand numbness issues from weight lifting. Pad was numbing out my hands at the time. So I switched over to a stick. I was playing some extreme games like Jim Power for SNES and Gun.Smoke arcade. Not great for learning a new controller but it came together pretty quick. I mostly use pad, but from the time Ive spent on stick my skill already rivals my pad skill for shooters. For platformers with more momentum I would still need to practice more, but I can beat a game like Jim Power for the SNES with a stick, so its definately not a huge limitation , even with my limited stick skill. Electric Underground made a great point that its like learning a new instrument. If you dont expect instant results it comes together alot easier over time. In my case I play all genres and time periods of games but Im definately leaning toward using sticks exclusively for shooters. I used the Hayabusa stick in the RAP4 to beat Gun.Smoke. Just recently I got a Seimitsu 62 stick and put it in the RAP4 base and it felt even better for making micro adjustments on shooters (more tension, less deadzone). Its alot of fun to mod them and get it the way you like too. Cant really do that with a pad. I actually still like the hayabusa better for gunsmoke but thats a spastic game. I think the looser stick is better suited. For games with real micro movements the Seimitsu seemed like a big improvement though. Need to experiment more. I can definately say the Sanwa buttons are much more responsive and better for me than the Seimitsu. My main stick has the sanwa buttons with the seimitsu 62 stick as a result. I just put Seimitsu buttons in another base to try them, and they seem high quality but not nearly as responsive. Wanted to try them so I could see for myself though. I may end up replacing them with Sanwas later.

Im not that used to stick yet but i play dbfz and my stick is in the shaped of a square and not a circle like pad is that bad or it will hlp me in the long run?

Would you have any recommendations for ergonomic/efficient ways to do instant air dashes on arcade stick and if people change their stick for one with less dead zones? I just picked up the DBFZ edition of the Panthera, wondering how im going to get cleaner inputs because letting the stick return to neutral feels like it takes time, and i can't do every input from one hand position, do you find you change your hand position based if you're trying to IAD left or Right? I played at a relatively high level previously and being able to react with good movement to beam for the punish and IAD for mix on reaction is seeming impossible. i dont want to spend heaps of energy making these quick movements what advice can you offer me? i do understand most of this would come with time, but i dont want to have bad habbits and be working harder when i could do it a more efficient way
