I love how Deke's character development is the exact opposite from everyone else. They started as innocent aspiring kids that grew into hardened adults, where when we first meet Deke, he's a hardened adult who grew into an innocent aspiring kid.

Jeff Ward, who plays Deke, originally auditioned for Virgil.. the dude who got killed like 3 mins in but they loved Jeff so much they gave him Deke's character and became a season regular. Thank you Marvel's Agents of Shield

I would add, the Em chord in the riff is played as a Em7 and that sounds not good to my ears. And that sweet groove by Mel Gaynor just isn't there.
