She was a bit of a hypocrite and too direct in her casting with some good moments and insights here and there. The extremism and lying about her past didn't really help her much. The early days were good, and then she ego'd it to shit. Needs some therapy

@@hazmat1 Good video, good use of screenshots and footage. I think the G4 rant clip was way too long and could've been cut down, but I understand the decision to leave it in as it was a pivotal moment for G4 and Frosk. Was there a pragmatic reason to censor Amouranth? That decision confused me since the whole video is on youtube anyways, but it doesn't detract of the quality of this video and if it keeps you monetized it's a good decision. Clean editing, clean story-telling, clean visuals. Very easy for new people to follow along what all that drama is about who weren't there and want to find out. Top Notch.

I think what makes her so unlikable is that she talks about things that are real issues, but only in relation to herself. She doesn't speak on general topics unless she is directly involved and everything that happens to her warrants a complaint about bigger issues, even if they are unrelated to the situation. It feels like a form of sympathy begging from somebody who herself is privileged, but involving people that are genuinely struggling as if she was one of them.

I think what woke activists dont get is the timing. they think ruining award show, if you look at the award show, its a waste of money and time, but it also is a good thing for someone who have worked hard to win an award, and woke activists want to ruin these kind of moments for their activism. They get to a high position in brodcast or tv or show, and then act so mean and awful towards everyone, and cry wolf when people dont respond to it. I mean what do fans need to do? take the insults and just bow to the queen? Woke activsts dont allow anything bad to be said to them. Look at today, Barbie is nominated for best picture, and many other awards, most of them, including best picture is PURELY because its woke message... and yet they still find a way to complain... Movie is 7/10 its just a movie to pass the time, compared to many other movies in 2023 that have good story good acting and good everything else, barbie should have 100% not been nominated. But here we are. Woke activist dont understand they are ruining everything for everyone, its like a person screaming in movie theatre doing the movie, becaue its a place that has 50 people inside... World is awful place, and we all have to deal with it. ruining others world wont help these activsts get their way.

@@matseigel1622 the hate she got wasn't because she was a woman. It was because she openly vilified all men as sexists and white people as racists on her social media and tried to push for her male co-casters being fired because they were men (i.e. "not diverse enough"). She was a great caster, but she's also a horrible sexist hypocrite who tried to play the victim card every time she received pushback for her comments on how all men are bad. Fueled by like-minded activists on Twitter and no doubt empowered by Marvel's political messaging in the main stream space, she took her mask off and began ranting live on air about how every problem in the gaming space exists because gamers are predominantly male, and how anyone who don't like what she says is a sexist. She thought she had enough support to make a living flaming men for being men, but woke up to find nobody supporting her and ended up without a viewership. Because the vast majority of those Twitter activists only spout their hateful nonsense to farm likes for validation in the first place. They were never going to support Frosk financially. Frosk ended up cursing men with her final words before leaving social media. Because of course she would.

The Dunning-Kruger Effect explains why : when people are ignorant, they tend to be aggressively ignorant. "If you're incompetent, you can't know you're incompetent... @SleepyFen
@SleepyFen 5 ай бұрын
@@LeoUnlion This is partly an explanation, but it's not all of it. For socio-political issues, especially on social media, there's a ton of people who will simply defend any opinion that benefits them, especially when doing so earns them a lot of recognition. Frosk saw how hating men and white people was becoming more mainstream and tried to be a pioneer in that space, using her position as somewhat of an internet celebrity to push more and more sexist and racist messaging against men and white people and pulling the now-classic Disney move of accusing anyone disagreeing with her of simply being sexist. She did this until she had vilified and alienated pretty much her entire audience and ultimately retired from the internet while blaming "the sexists" of her inability to make a profit anymore. She's an opportunistic hypocritical sociopath who shouted loudly, not because she didn't know what she was talking about, but because she legitimately believed that the Internet would have her back and shout down anyone who spoke against her. Oh the sweet karma when she realized that none of the people liking her posts were remotely interested in contributing to her rent.

@hazmat1 5 ай бұрын
This clip was a part of a video explaining all Yone mechanics and hidden tips/tricks. The clip showcased was how to guarnatee a ultimate hit against champions like Fiora W, Camille R or even champiosn who have flash. When you Q3 from a close distance to enemy champion, and then follow up with an R, THEN they will have a small window to react simply because the knock up duration from your Q3 will be over by the time your R fires off. This allows for Fiora to W, Camille to Ult you or other champiosn to simply flash out of it. However, if you Q3 from MAX cast, and then prematurely press R (prematurely since your Q3 hasn't actually 100% hit yet), then your R will be guaranteed to hit. The best way to prove them all error of their thinking is reaching goals, improving and live happily despite what they say and attacking anyone (person/company) for the preferences/accurate commentary on the way they perceive us is indicating ego issue... Sad.

I honestly didn't have a problem with her prior to the rant, which is why her lashing out felt so weird to me. She had decent enough takes on their Cyberpunk 2077 and Ghost of Tsushima reviews. It was mostly Adam who couldn't help but interject his political opinions during those segments. Now, that Black Hokage guy was *really* fucking annoying. Him going along with Frosk when he has a history of saying perverted shit was just as cringe as the tirade itself.

This is literally downfall of every egocentric ever, instead of saying sorry for being so mean and awful person, I read on reddit that she often would insult and put down her coworkers when they were not doing well, she could just have said sorry and tried to be better, instead she insulted everyone, threw everyone under the buss, blamed everyone for being an awful person.

good vid, i was actually a fan of frosk and wanted her to do well. i even agreed with most of her criticisms about the gaming sphere. but the way she would retaliate to any form of criticism just felt very unhinged. i feel if she took a more human approach and not be so vitriolic to all the fans things couldve been better. if ANY person even male was just constantly acting as a victim and being highly political in a GAMING community they would also be met with the same level of scrutiny. most of the other casters dont get flamed because they dont talk about politics they are just there for the game. a REALLY good example of this is Emily in the LCS. she is extremely loved by the community not because shes "bangable" as frosk would say, but because she has a real passion for the game and keeps her topics and focus purely on the game.

The frustrating part is that she was genuinely a very talented caster, and generally people liked her on the broadcasts. But once she got possessed by the political brainrot, it felt like she was doing everything she possibly could to vilify basically everyone she was there to entertain. It's well proven that there are systematic issues in the industry, and many things she was right to call out, but there is a very clear line between calling out issues, and looking for every opportunity to make an issue out of something to then project it onto the entire fanbase, as if every one of us was complicit for not instinctively rioting with pitchforks and torches against what she perceived as problems.

Always disliked her takes about the game but never was annoyed by her presence on the broadcast. Maybe things happened in the background that we don't know of which made her feel this way. Also, maybe her personality didn't fit esports since she cared so much about reddit, which, I never understood why it got so much attention, especially since it never amounts to anything meaningful.

Honestly, she is making a lot of good points. The video game scene has it's problems. Worked with a gal with an androgynous name once who was supposed to work for the CIS broadcast. When the guy in charge met her for the first and realised she was a woman he immediately just dropped her completely. Like, just annulled the contract after everything had already been settled. Also the fans being notoriously horny, homophobic comments and "gay jokes" being somewhat standart... Remilia first being bullied out of competing and later even dying to the transphobia of the scene. And yes, Frosk failed to address that she was in a position of privilege herself and has definitely interacted with Reddit to a degree that wasn't healthy for her or her career. It definitely seems like the exposure of the job went over her head and distorted her perception, not quite able to separate between online discourse and human interaction. Hope she finds her luck in this new career path, aside from the cameras. I'll miss her polarising personality. With first Deficio, then her and now Caedrel gone, I just feel like the broadcast in europe has reached a new level of bland. (Although I do love Medic and when they bring Broxah or Finn up for analysis).

man that meltdown on G4 honestly made me feel borderline confused that's quite the long speech about sexism on a platform meant to host lighthearted discussions and reviews about fun beloved video games and the victimization at this point was just pure randomness to the core not directed at a special group or a certain personality but to the general public with strong words not the platfrom not the time not accurate and definitely not the topic one would expect on G4.

Frosk saying "Because I'm not as bangable" and not "Because you think im not as bangable" Is really just the whole thing in a nutshell. Fantastic caster and analyst, handed an absolute amazing opportunity and instead chose to use it as a platform to force her sociopolitical views on an audience that wasn't there to hear about that. Despite whatever "struggles" she may have faced in her life, she worked hard and was rewarded with the opportunities she was given. To somehow turn that into a victim mentality is mind boggling. If the industry that made her famous was as terrible as she claimed it to be, she would have never been given the opportunities that she received. She's a professional victim and absolutely refuses to see the world through any other lens. It's sad really because she was really solid at the work she did.

Never liked her. I cannot recall the first time I listened to her cast, but man, it was irritating. And it wasn't just the voice pitch. I am used to male-voice casting, so maybe I'm a bit of a sexist in the regard, but just seeing her with "that" look and that tone in her voice, I just knew. A lot of the time, people say "don't judge a book by its cover", well, in this case, the cover is just a mild introduction to the book.

It's weird cause I remember the first time I saw her watching a rebroadcast. I remember saying to myself, "Who is this person. She is too aggressive and a know-it-all. I hope she isn't around much."...as a viewer, I could feel her hostility from the first view. The power of the viewer is important. We don't watch it so much for personality but rather for the venue. The personalities are the gravy on top, and we want them to be less than what we are watching. Like mustard on the hamburger or salt on the steak. There needs to be an addition not so big of a personality that you lose track of what you watch. Personally, for me, I am glad I don't have to hear Frost's commenting ever again. She didn't know what she was talking about half the time, she cut people off and she was rude. makes watching what you love very hard.

I found out about frosk from the g4 reboot because my favorite content creator (TheBlackHokage) was a member of the cast. That being said, literally 95% of the time i’ve heard her talk it’s complaints about something. This is the problem. Yes, in a male-dominated industry it is hard to make headway as a woman, there's no denying that. But the way in which you carry yourself in a professional setting opens up the door to more female casters. Doing stuff like that clouds public perception and makes it harder for every woman behind you.
