The Devil's Wilderness, Burralow Creek Campground and Bulcamatta Falls
This is me entering the Burralow valley via Paterson's Range Track from Bilpin. Fortunately nothing that the trusty Ford Transit couldn't handle.
After climbing out of the valley, I jumped on my mountain bike and headed out along a few of the old fire trails that have been closed for the last 30 or so years. Beautiful views over the Grose River.

No worries. You should be fine, particularly if it's 4wd. Just be careful if it's wet as it can get slippery 😁

I love that area Jason. Have you checked out the Southern tracks at the other end of Bowen Mt? There's a spectacular lookout with views out as far reaching as Penrith and beyond. It's a similar view to the lookout that you visited. Awesome Mt bike track too.....

Many years ago, Mt first house was in Bowen Mountain. I do however want to go there and ride some of the MTB trails now. Really want to revisit those lookouts you mention 😊

NIce video, seen plenty of 2wd get down there, only really need 4x4 if wet.

Yeah, I agree. I don't know how often they grade the road but I'd imagine there will be times when it will get a little rough.

Great video 😊 I guess swapping tyres out for AT”s and carry a compressor to drop pressure down would help in sticky situations 🙃

I see a bit , but not much. I had a big Goanna right next to my van at the Burralow Creek campground, but was so busy taking photos, I forgot to get some video 😂

Well done getting in and out .We often day walk in from the Bilpin end. Setting up an ex ambulance for touring at the moment but would not be brave enough to try that.

That's a fair effort walking in! It's awesome having a van to base yourself out of and quite a few places to free camp which is great.
