From the admin and moderation side of a YT channel with 175K, yes it absolutely is a headache and we ended up banning NSFW content before 100K (except for explicit art or discussion exceptions since it is a news channel).

I can say that it depends on the creator and their community. I've tended to see some of the really crazy stuff hit more of the video/animation side, with basic Illustrators, Comic creators, and writers seeming to have an easier time finding a more chill group. Of course, if your audience trends on the younger side of 18+ (early 20's and below, and yes even the secret teens who say they're 18 to get in and then lurk) I've also seen those discords get both really annoying AND toxic fast. Meanwhile creators I follow or work with who trend for an older audience (at least mid twenties) seem to have more of a calm (if quiet at times) group. One Discord I was a part of literally fractured because of a friction between these two age demographics, and it was ran by several fan fiction writers who each had their own individual followings and audience trends. Eventually the creator with the majority "old" followers split off to create their own discord and while I'm still a part of both... it definitely is a much different vibe between them. Though, on that note, since its been several years since the break, and a lot of the followers haven't changed from what I've seen, the "younger" channels have calmed down massively even if they are still very meme-y. But you absolutely have to have moderation in an 18+ discord. There's no way around it.

If someone wants to start and kind of server, then it is up to them and them alone, they weighed the pros and cons, it not about consequences or headaches, it's about fun. They draw for FUN, they speak to their community for FUN, if the side effect of having a large community means you can't have fucking fun then that makes you a great audition to the Twitch mod staff, right next to the weird deer girl and that fat pedo dude in his 30's.

Honestly I've learned that there are people who legitimately hate the idea of sexual content period. So its not so much that they complain about drawing suggestive stuff... they don't want that artist to BE a NSFW artist in the first place. And to make the point even more strange, someone I personally know like this isn't even religious OR conservative. She just hates pornography of any kind, point-blank-period.

Honestly, there's not even anything wrong with disliking it as long as they...idk...stay away from people who make that content. No need to go looking for trouble. Algorithms recommending suggestive stuff to people who don't want to see it _is_ an issue though, but it's not the creator's fault.

definitely sucks both ways people find out im a guy during my live streams and it either empties my chat or turns into me being some morally bankrupt monster in the eyes of the people. ill admit i havent gotten a lot of unwanted pics since I try and make it clear im a guy but the number isnt 0 and i cant keep an account up long enough on other sites for me to not feel like half the year is spent rebuilding a following and the other half is trying to keep my account running long enough to make some progress. i always thought id be told my art sucks if i tried posting online along with getting no views for a while. I was prepared for that. I wasn't prepared for getting attacked personally just because my art exists and people have this wierd idea its okay to judge someone based on the art they like. ive complemented makeup artists on there work and been told my art is disgusting and they never consented to clicking on my page and viewing my art. honestly i wouldn't be surprised if woman did have it harder pairing what experience with how being a woman and drawing nsfw automatically goes against these critics very perception that women could not enjoy this kind of art just as much as the average guy whos drawing for the same reason, fun or money. ive had to sit through some old mans lecture about god and not going to hell for sin because i thought itd be fun to sketch a succubus. at work instead of an angel whos more respectable

very true. idk why but its disturbingly common for even younger people to have an extremely hostile relationship with anything involving sex, even going so far as refraining from masturbation completely, becoming an incel, swearing off sexual/romantic relationships entirely. so many unhealthy behaviors thinking it'll be the one-stop solution to their lifes problems when most of the time its not even related to their actual issues. its so disturbing and frustrating seeing these people demonize perfectly healthy behaviors while they themselves are being part of the actual problems. its like a cult or something..

The media is serrounded by it, and the only public exposure to sex people speak of is the negatives like Groomers, Fresh n Fit, and the same media that shows it off. Happy doesn’t deserve the hate she gets. Her art is similar to Jaiden’s, yes, but it’s not the same. Just because someone’s art looks like someone else’s doesn’t mean that it’s copied. It could be inspired but that’s a different thing. I like Happy as a person and content creator. Her art is cool and her music videos are a little weird for me but the animations are nice! Again, she doesn’t deserve the hate she gets and I don’t understand why she gets hate at all.

I started drawing NSFW stuff because everything else I drew didn't get any attention. Even though I wanted to draw animate comedy based stuff and not NSFW content, I still don't mine it at all. Also I still want to make cartoons that are funny.

You can always do both! While my NSFW does get vastly more attention, I've found that pairing them with the SFW stuff I (also) want to do for those same characters gets the SFW stuff more interest. Like one draws the eyes, but in time the other gets them more invested in those characters. So much so that someone even noticed that a particular character had a new necklace, asked questions, and I got to be a dork about their development. Though animations take a lot of time, so I understand why you might not want to juggle them if you're doing both.

As a fellow asexual NSFW artist & content creator, people who call us hypocrites are completely uneducated on asexuality. It's not a binary sexuality where you DO or DON'T like sexy stuff- it's a wide, complex, and fluid spectrum. There are many asexuals who DO engage with and/or create sexual content, and finding an asexual NSFW artist is way more common than you'd think. I encourage anyone who thinks of asexuality in this way to seek out the many asexual microlabels and how they're defined to learn more about the community and the people who identify within it! ❤I could teach a class if I could lol

Tidbits on Discord here. The amount of negative and gross comments I took screenshots of for this video was insane. It's both hypocritical and irritating that there are Twitter and KZfaq accounts dedicated to NSFW stuff, but the one person who just draws bait art gets underserved harassment and accusations of being a pedophile, even though the ones making those accusations are THE MINORS THAT LOOK UP HER CHANNEL DESPITE HER REPEATEDLY SAYING IT'S NOT FOR KIDS. Happy, I just want to say I respect that you've been so strong despite all of this and I respect what you do. As for all the haters: Get lost. The minors: STAY AWAY!!!

I feel like if the person is a minor looking at channels and accounts that CLEARLY post suggestive content and don't hide it, that said person should be aware of their actions and the consequences. And if they're complaining about it despite being told in the face that it's suggestive and is not for minors, well... That's their problem. They're the ones looking at it despite multiple warnings, so why are they complaining about something that isn't even meant for them? **Unless you can deal with harrassment, essentially any public figure role will guarantee it at some point. All you can really do if you don't fully on leave the position is fight or ignore them, but they're inevitable.

Hey, I happened to stumble upon this video, saw I was in it, and wanted to say/ask for a few things. (1) My thread (which is only referenced for a talking point) was made because of Happy's concerning behavior at the time (though I cannot say if it has gotten any better). I did not-and still do not-have any negative intent with the post and only wanted people to use it to work with her as a person. Also, in said post, I made it clear that I would not endorse any person who used the post negatively. (2) Happy's recent (albeit not now) "St**p Game" and "Fu*****i" drawings were posted in her *16+* server that any person who had an account could access (regardless of if they had the 18+ role). To her saying a racial slur as a "joke," I and many other people saw that as unacceptable. Additionally, as a Black lady myself, I found it completely frightening to see that word used regardless of whether it was a "joke" or not. Finally, (3) I would like to ask if you could maybe update this video to remove me from it- or at least censor my old display name- as I do not want my post to be used in a way that makes it seem as "attacking" Happy. Besides that, I thought it was a great video, dude (definitely going to be a new subscriber)! (p.s. I didn't know where to put this, but I do not associate myself with the people who dislike Happy for who she is; however, I do believe that she needs to take actual criticism of her person into consideration. She is a great artist, and I love that from her, so I wanted her to build upon herself to become a better person.)

omg. i love happy's artstyle! And the same can be said with me! I have drawn nsfw before but its very rare and its usually for at least one of my bf's that asked for it. I never have shown my nsfw art on any social media. And another thing, im also asexual. I have also been told that i was a child even though at the time i was actually 20 (i just turned 25 this year.) Also happy's voice is very unique! I am definitely going to check out their channel!

This was hella informative. Especially for those of us who follow too many creators and don't have enough time to find the bottom of every rabbit hole we find. While I don't think there's anybody above critique, I definitely think the word hypocrite is thrown around most lightly by the people who need a mirror. There's definitely a certain point where it goes beyond honest and good willed criticism into just mean-spiritedness.

I’m going to be honest here, I always 8magined being an nsfw artist was easier but when you really think about it you realize just how many of them are probably having struggles, perhaps even more so than ourselves. And quite frankly, regardless is Happy sees this or not, I want to say that the bad people out there can be tough and (while I’m not an nsfw artist) I am an artist too and I understand things like that can be hard. At the very least you have my support.

Being an NSFW artist seems easy because you see only the popular nsfw artist getting traction, while it is actually an extremely competitive space where it's hard to dig your own hole, yes there's a lott of money to make but it's mostly the big guys sharing all the gold there. Then once you draw nsfw it's hard to draw anything else and get traction, while sfw art with cute or sexy girl and ecchi can appeal to both nsfw and sfw community. Also lots of people will just hate or harrzs you for your content since "pron is bad" At the end mots of the guys who stay doing nsfw art and succeed are passionate about that topic, lots of people give up.

As a person that is partially asexual (attracted to characters but also don't like sex or nudity) I really enjoy artists like this because it feels like a perfect match for me. Happy seems like a fun person and it's a shame she gets so many creeps and hatred after her.

Its like most people don't really look deep into anything anymore nor take the time to understand said person, and my belief is that people just don't care just to say whatever they want since they don't think of any consequences since either way there will be someone who will agree compare to many people who will disagree. Its mainly that mind set of just reading a book by its cover deal that most people get either hated on or overall receive major death threats because of it. These content creators are still human they will fight back against things that they don't like in general hell I hope you've all saw HappyLikeAwall reviewing someone who was tracing art, and is overall worst for their reasons behind their creations including their thought process in general about the world. The world/internet is a confusing place but almost any logic that is given are sometimes just out the window.

from what I've seen, happy gets mostly creeps, a lot of meanies, and a few genuine folk. for some reason, a lot of the meanies think they fall into the latter. just read the replies to happy's comment 💀💀 happy doesn't even make nsfw, it's all bait. onlyfans is all bait, Twitter, tiktok, youtube whatever is all bait. she does have a few nsfw channels on discord where others can post, but her mods check to make absolutely certain you are 18+. and she NEVER posts in those channels unless it's for admin reasons. I guess the upside to hate is that when they comment that they're angry you deleted their comment, you get an extra view and more interaction. yt doesn't care if it's good or bad interaction, they'll push you forward either way. if you've read this far, know you can report people for being pendejos (meanies) and they are like pets. don't give them attention when they are being bad, don't reply or anything. they will (mostly) always want the final word. And that's concludes my ted talk :D

I'm a new sub of happy, I dont see a problem of drawing sugestive content. If its something they enjoy then let them enjoy it. Happy's content is not hurting anyone, if anyone doesnt like nsfw artist or suggestive artist, then go to other artist who are more family friendly. Theres no point in hating someone for just doing what they like while not affecting others.

I have an idea that parody porn of, say, a movie, or show, or anything from anyone’s childhood would be unpredictable and risky. One would end up corrupting a precious piece of their childhood, like a Disney movie, or a cartoon show, or a wholesome slice of life romantic drama anime. I’m an artist drawing nudes, and I’d prefer drawing original NSFW art and romance, no parodies. If it were a parody, I’d rather do it from like a fanservice anime and a video game series meant for teens and anyone 20 and older.

The sad reality is, getting this kind of treatment is inevitable for any somewhat successful content creator. The distance and anonymity provided by the internet amplifies some behavioral patterns, but in the end it just comes down to numbers. There are a lot of really bad apples out there. And the more people know of you, the higher the chances are that some bad ones do too.

Seems to be more suggestive than anything. KZfaq doesn't allow explicit content...but suggestive content is fine. Or hell, mildly explicit content (see: Harry Partridge, youtube animator) is allowed. There is often age restrictions that can be placed on videos as well by the creator or moderation teams, that for instance require your account to have your age be listed as 17-18 to view the video. Its just that out-and-out pornography and so forth is not allowed. This is why you are supposed to be 13+ before you can even be on youtube, and even then you can't view everything on the site. KZfaq kids is for kids even younger, though some videos and issues have arose with that site because the controls aren't *nearly* as tight as they could be.

Oh no, I can tell you about having a higher pitch voice... Makes it difficult to sing but the trade off is having a particular range for voice acting. Like my performance as the villain in "A Really Cheesy Movie" animated by Poptoons Skaff. It's a blessing and a curse.

not a nsfw artist, but i am ace i feel like that probably makes it even easier to BE a nsfw artist since you can focus more on the anatomy and making an artistically believable piece without getting distracted, or relying on the 'appeal' rather than tryin to make a drawing that's good enough on a skill level to be able to stand on its own i see it as a very similar kind of thing as not just writing a bunch of science buzzwords in a story or movie, but actually getting a scientist or programmer to help write it because they can communicate accurate facts easier without just thinking "oh this is cool in fiction"

It's a shame that artists have to turn to NSFW content just to make money, and that it then brings so many problems. There are clearly a lot of unreasonable people out there. It's crazy to me that people take being ignored by a popular artist as a personal slight to the point that they send abusive messages and essentially have a breakdown over their own lack of importance to a stranger on the internet. The entitlement of these people is genuinely disgusting. Tributes to someone that hasn't requested them is basically just flashing a stranger. I don't know how that doesn't come with legal consequences... I will say, however, I think people sending their NSFW art to an NSFW artist isn't really an issue. It's just artists trying to engage and enjoy art together. They might be looking for pointers, a general opinion or just wanted to show off a piece of work they feel proud of to an artist they admire. It would only be rare cases where that would be inappropriate I think, like if someone specifically drew her or her character doing something disgusting because they wanted to harass her by essentially making fun of her art. Otherwise, if you're an NSFW artist, it's kinda expected that you're going to end up in NSFW artist circles. Probably best to have two accounts, one NSFW and one normal, that way you can post NSFW and avoid the posts sent to that account. That being said, maybe I'm underestimating just how much exaggerated art of her and her character comes through with negative messages in tow. Also, to clarify, I don't think it's reasonable to draw NSFW art of the artist themselves, unless they're actually in porn themselves. If their character is in NSFW stuff then that's kinda fair game as long as it's well intentioned fan art, but drawing the artist themselves is taking a likeness that's not really in the public domain and making porn from it. It's also just pretty creepy to mentally undress a stranger, and then draw what you think that looks like. So definite issues with drawing the artist instead of the art.
