New game modes are always underbaked on release. This was true for both countdown and summit as well. I haven’t played much descent at all, just kinda waiting on them to improve the rewards and add more quality of life improvements before i hop in.

That's actually been a "feature" since launch, most people refer to them as Stalker Hunters. I don't know if it's intended to just be a cool easter egg, or if there's lore implications!

That is why Keener’s death was a let down.

@FatalFist Keener's death was badly done for someone who stayed ahead of everyone physically and technology wise for him to just be stuck on an island. Then, to run out and confront you after you foil the launch is just bad writing, missing the point of who and how the character worked. I mean with all the technology he had, he could have initiated the launch from anywhere safely. Plus in true form of the character he would have know enemies were coming and ditched like he did at the UN with the LMB. Also with the amount of Eclipse he had, he could have set numerous sites for launching from as backup. They could could have said with Keeners plan of using his knowledge of the virus and everything he talked about in the final echo of Division 1. He could have shipped rogue agents overseas and threatened foreign countries with it. He could have sent cells of rogue agents to attack the Black Tusk and retrieve the antivirals and the bio-something from the pentagon to have control of the cure of the dollar flu. Lots of options with Keener, still hoping it was a body double we saw dead. But really he sacrificed Theo who was the brains behind the rogue network. That's another rogue agent that should have escaped instead of standing his ground. And while we are on the subject Sokolova's brother (perfect hostage to use against the BT) and our firing range guy's daughter (for the humanity of it) should have been taken alive...along with Faye. For the Division not to have non lethal takedowns when they have shock weapons, skills, gear and ammunitions seems a bit silly. I mean if they had cut to a cutscene when they lost health and showed you firing a sticky that shocked them unconscious no one would have called bs.

Hey! They haven't explicitly communicated about that, but it's my understanding that you'll continue to be able to collect the comms via that Project well beyond Season 1 👍

Yes they've confirmed there will be a reveal stream prior to Season 2's release. I think it's still most likely happening this coming Monday, but they're probably waiting to see how tonight's maintenance goes before making a final determination. @@RogueGold I run it a few times a week with some friends and get between loops 20-30 on average. Get a notification for subset collectible completed almost every run but never get the missing comms. I don’t know if it’s a PS specific issue but hopefully they fix it and allow us to get them in the future.

@xi-deadshot-ix5838 Those notifications are for a different thing altogether. You can only get one of these specific comms per week, as they're tied to the weekly Descent project, and it's only requirement is defeating the Nemesis. So clear the Nemesis once per week, and a new comm will show up under Progression > Collectibles > Comms > Descent

Settings > UI > Scrolling Combat Text > Floating 👍

@@RogueGold I followed your advice and tonight i managed to grab 5 exotics 4 being weapons and 1 chest piece, I just got the St' elmo's and i was confused by the fact it was not in my inventory :P it was in my inbox which i had not thought to check, I have subbed to the channel and will keep checking the channel for other updates and advice on builds and the like cheers.

@timmigrant6597 If you go into your menu, then the Progression tab, tab over to the Collectibles category, Comms, and then find the Descent tab. Once you complete the project each week the new Comms are added there 👍

It's possible as we know so little about him, but his general demeanor in all of the comms plus the actions the Hunters have taken over time lead me to believe otherwise.

I haven't seen specific confirmation, but the weekly project should continue to populate until you collect them all 👍

In what ways?

There is no depth to this game at all once you reach max SHD. Even introducing new modes adds very little other than the comms but for me and presumably you and many others that isn't enough.

Hmm yes we are a division (no pun intended) of them, but honestly I'm not sure how the whole leadership hierarchy works as we report directly to the President. But evidently McManus' and the Hunters goals aren't aligned with ours.

​@RogueGold but they kind of are because the Hunter borrowed to Bardon Schaeffer attacked the rogue agents that season. So if you look back to survival how many of those dead agents littering the dark zone were rogue agents? Bigger question is the reason the Hunters were stopping agents from extracting the antivials because the snow storm messed up their systems too so they didn't know the good from the bad agents and they were just stopping everyone. That meaning friendly fire was preferable to letting a rogue escape with the antivials.

@aaronfilipowich3877 Except for more recently, Cal has allowed the Hunters to directly report to Natalya. They contributed to the attack on the White House and took out Lewis. It's possible McManus is playing the long game before revealing his true plan, but I think he just wants us out of the way before directly targeted Sokolova.

@RogueGold we shall see the new novel by Thomas Parrott is out soon and that looks to reveal more about Homeland security and hunters.

I suppose we'll find out in the DLC!

If you download Div2, you are downloading the NYC dlc automatically. The access is just locked as long as you don't buy it. I think if you refund it, it will lock you out of the character. However, have you tried the "Call for help"-function? A random player might join to help you get through the NYC story because you need to get the NYC story get done in order to return to DC. Also NYC dlc is mandatory for the seasonal content. So I would recommend you to not give up.

These come from the Descent mode, which got added with the game's latest update.

Yeah, if you're not level 40, then you're not going to see the newer loot. After finishing the main game, it leaves you at lvl. 30. Then finishing the DLC brings you up to lvl 40.
