The titular story had me thinking about my personal interpretation of Bowser rationalizing his kidnappings of Peach as protecting her from the consequences of his inevitable conquest of her weak kingdom. Ultimately it'd just be an excuse to be with his crush, maybe even invoking "realistic arranged marriages" as just tools to satisfy his infatuation.

I think the more likely explanation for the asexual story is that the DM didn't think asexuality was a thing and thought OP was super repressed, so they were trying to either 1. prove their point with all the sex stuff or 2. make fun of OP for "being repressed and using asexuality as an excuse."

And since I am autistic and not rlly sure what was the appropriate action to take (since I script how i want to handle things, this was "off script.") I kind of just got stuck in a perpetually shocked state

I hate this tactic that some people use to avoid responsibility for boundary crossing that some people use where they minimalize their own actions, and at the same time they invent some sort of affront against them during the same incident. I have a former friend that used to do this crap all the time. I'd confront him about something he did that upset me, and by the end of the conversation I would end up apologizing to him for "being rude" when I did nothing but vocalize that I was upset with him and explain why.

An "I got you, bud!" thing gone horribly wrong, seeing as neither were consulted, nor asked how they feel about it.

For the intro story, disinviting the problem player was a mercy. In my friend group the guy who made a big deal about his token "looking gay" would have ended up a laughing stock and as players start saying, "Your character now has the 'gay' condition," whenever that token was used going forward. Years later someone in that group would put on the condition token, then a random palyer will just say, "ghheeeyyyyyy," and the table would just erupt laughing.

To answer the question for Baldur’s Gate 3- Slimecicle did it like a TTRPG in his video with his friends and it was hilarious :) I am a Xiv enjoyer.

I somehow went the entire day unpranked and just forgot it was the 1st and was briefly worried something actual bad happened. You had me until the Ukelele came out and reality caught up with me.

25:00 Yup, I actually legit love one of the ideas I had, which is a dwarf woman who went out adventuring while her husband stayed...somewhere. I don't remember where now. But basically it played up the lore (dwarf was lucky enough to have a wife, so no problem producing heirs in the future, which helped with low dwarf population) but also made the dwarf woman more than just background flavor (wife actually exists and does stuff, not just pumps out a unit every now and then). Plus I like the reversal of the traditional family roles. Husband can work the forge to make armor, weapons, tools, cookware, whatever else locals and merchants and adventurers and such need, etc; wife can be the one to go adventuring. Also creates some RP potential that can be creatively repeated, not just a one-time npc or a background quest for the character.

Just a basic, like, feeding someone else by putting the food directly into their mouth kind of thing. Like the image of servants feeding grapes to someone in a throne? Or at a wedding, many couples feed the wedding cake to each other. It's creepy on its own, no euphemism necessary! (My "expertise" just being a middle-aged woman soon to be divorced after 22 years of monogamous hetero marriage, realizing I'm pan, wish to be poly, maybe also demi but IDK halp. /tmi) I swear, a truly experienced player who works well with others CAN create a dark and broody loner a-hole type character and have it work. The player should intend for the character to evolve and form attachments over time, making their loner nature something to overcome as opposed to just, well, not be any fun to play with. You can also insert some humor into a bad temper in order to keep it from stressing people out and ensuring it's still fun for everyone. But it's absolutely crucial that you read the room, and be open to feedback, and flexible. If at some point you're stressing others out or making things less fun for the others, you need to adjust the way you're playing the character. I had a violent barbarian, and when I was going to do something that could start a combat that people might not be ready for, I'd let everyone know my intent, out of character, and invite them to interrupt/intercept my character if they don't want me to do whatever I was gonna do. This worked well for our group. Also, play a hot-headed character who loves the party and gets mad on behalf of the party instead of fights with the party. That can also be played for some humorous scenarios! Just remember to keep the OOC communication open.

here's an idea for the cake: it's actually a mimic! as you taste the cake, roll a con save or take 1d4 poison damage. either way you must roll a cha save or be charmed by it (you have advantage if you took poison damage from the first effect). if you fail the cha save, you lean in closer and the decorative triangles all along its rim reveal themselves to be what they truly are.. teeth! make a dex save. if you fail, you take 1d4+2 peircing and must make a str save. if you fail, you're grappled. each turn the cake makes a bite attack against you with advantage, if it hits, you take 1d4+2 peircing damage. each turn you may use your standard action to attempt to remove it (athletics DC 14). regardless of your success, you take 1 peircing damage unless you do not have blood, such as with oozes and warforged. any attack against the cake results in the damage being split evenly between you. if you are attacked but the roll is no more that 2 above your AC, you split the damage you take with the cake. upon the cake's death, if it is searched, the players will find a silk ribbon that, if tied to an inanimate object no bigger than a large creature, it becomes an animate construct with a friendly disposition towards the party.

I'm currently in a homebrew game where slavery exists in the world. My character is an ex-slave, and one PC is the slave of another... because the slave PC plays a tabaxi more like a cat than a human, and they said that the party will need a way to stop them before curiosity kills not just the cat, but everyone else as well. The tabaxi actually thinks that it's the owner of it's human rather than the other way around. It's really fun for RP, and noone is forcing others to do specific things.

The dwarf artificer in my 4e Wildemount campaign gave me a lot to work with given his family from Uthodurn, specifically his sister! Flirting with Cake Story. I once had an idea for a short adventure or side adventure where the party was passing thru a village that was having a festival. In this festival was a Wizard Baker (the BBEG of the story) who pretended to be a travelling baker. He and his assistants brought a wagon load of cakes (8 inch round, double decker with frosting) into town for the festival. Selling them cheap, but saying that people must wait to eat them at some special time in the festival that day (I don't remember this part). Anyway the cakes are actually miniature magical constructs that will come alive that afternoon and begin attacking the festival and villagers. These things can't be easily killed as cutting them just makes two smaller ones, piercing them does nothing, and bludgeoning them just makes them flatter. They are however not poisonous, and quite tasty.

My friends and I play BG3 with actual roleplay pretty frequently. We have one BG3 run where we ended up roleplaying a truly ridiculous meta-narrative. The Dragonborn rogue (played by the server owner for that game) is actually an eldritch being in disguise, in reference to the fact that he's the only one who can save and reload. He's also the Warlock's patron, and in addition to giving her magic powers, she also has a limited ability to perceive the saves and loads, and sees disturbing visions of the abandoned timelines. Meanwhile, my Paladin is the straight-woman in our comedy trio, a widowed single mom who has no idea what's going on with those two lunatics and just wants to get the tadpole out of her head so she can go introduce her kids to Gale, their new stepdad.

On college clubs-- yep. I got invited to one when I was in community college. It's worth noting that I have some experience being a problem player. Too involved backstory, not understanding character abilities, main character syndrome... These are problems that I admit to having and have tried to work on. In any case, I was invited to sit in with the group, meet them and see what they were like. One guy kept showing me 4-Chan memes, and was put out that I didn't find them funny. One girl was an admitted white supremacist. The group seemed to agree that I could be fun at the table if I weren't so uptight. While it would be a new experience to play at a table with a problem player that isn't me... Yeah, no. I told them that with my class load, I don't think I could manage a TTRPG and got the hell out.
