Jim Morrison lead singer. That is the late great Lonnie Mack on bass guitar for this song only. Lonnie also recorded music with Stevie Ray Vaughan. Lonnie was married to my cousin. He played at our family reunion i was about 8 but Memphis stuck in my soul that day.

Great hella bluesy song! I used to play this before I went out clubbing back in the 90s! Jim Morrison is the lead singer. I'd recommend Riders on the Storm by the Doors, but from what I understand it's an instant block.

My brother used to blast this at 6 A.M. for a wakeup tune...that was early 70s in San Fancisco. Every time it meant "let's go have a good time today"...and we did! :)

My favorite Doors song is “LA Woman.” That song is on fire! SERIOUS INTENSITY! If you end up listening to it, make sure to pay attention to the bass guitar throughout.

I’ve been a Doors fan since 1983 - I’ll just warn you that Jim can be very “dark” at times - and his poetry/music is not for everyone. He was highly intelligent and talented but also very involved in drugs. Some amazing songs while he was here, but it’s a complete shame that he chose a fatal path and left us without more of his talent!

Jim Morrison is the lead singer. First time I got to watch a new video since I subscribed. I was up dancing with this one. Thank you for making getting through this pandemic a bit more joyful. Playing so many songs from my generation makes this soon to be 70 year old next week YIKES, up and dancing. Yes ours was the dancing generation.

no bass player, all done on Ray's organ - amazing keyboard player and the whole band was tight. Actually a better band than Morrison originally deserved as he had no musical background. Great song writer and he grew into his role of lead singer, developing a great rock/blues voice.

They almost always hired a bass player for their studio albums because Ray's keyboard bass sounded too muddy on tape. But they didn't have a bass player for most of their live gigs (other than one tour when they played some of the songs off The Soft Parade and used a bass player and some horn players), and Ray was amazing with his left hand on the keyboard bass. He'd be shredding with his right hand on the Light My Fire solo, and yet his left hand kept the same steady bass line going.

It’s the kind of song that makes you want to dance while getting stumbling drunk, break a beer bottle on the floor, stumble in to the car with someone you met the same night, go home, have wild, passionate sex, pass out, wake up with cotton mouth after passing out somewhere other than the bed, drink copious amounts of water and hammer down a beer and take a shot of whiskey, hair of the dog, make coffee and smoke a cigarette while scratching your butt still orienting to the previous nights events.
