/ Finally my next recording! An advanced piano piece composed for the movie "While I live" by Charles Williams. I played it on a grand piano in front of some listeners some time ago and the people loved it, so it was time to upload a recording here on YT. As you now me it's like ever a bit my own interpretation but pretty close to the original.
I used a new dynamic setting for the piano (Pearl concert grand) this time and I really like it.

Just to write to say thank you. My brother was a pianist and sadly died 3 months ago. He used to play this beautifully. It was our mother's favourite piece. In tears , but wonderful memories. Thank-you, played so beautifully.

My grandmother's funeral was two days ago and we had this played at the service as this was one of her favourite pieces of music. She liked it so much she gave my mum the middle name Olwen. RIP Nina xx

What a lovely performance of one of my favorites. My mother used to play The a Dream of Olwen when I was young, and I’ve never heard anyone really play it with such feeling until now. Very nice.

My mother was young (11) when this movie was released. One could go into the cinema when the movie had already began and stay to watch what one had missed. My mother told me that not only did she see the movie several times that first time but she kept going back to see it because of the music. She could play the first 30 seconds just by having heard it. It reminds me of her.

My mama’s name was Olwen. Dad knew of this song when he met her & floored her when he played it for her. He would thunder out a melody with the left hand & then somehow manage to fill in magnificently with the right hand. My folks’ marriage was one long love song, sung back & forth to each other for sixty years. I am missing them fiercely!- but find comfort in the hope of seeing them again when earth is made anew & Yahusha restores our broken world. Meanwhile, hearing your rendition of a treasured tune really helps! Thank you!

It's from the Film While I Live. It's a great film, when British Film Industry made good films.
