Denmark actually used it as a Training match to let newer players play and Denmark got so many injuries so it makes sense that they lost

I am Dutch but my o my, Eriksen deserved to score that goal big time. The applause of the audience said enough ♥️ And for Eriksen it is extra special because it was in the stadium of Ajax, his club for many years. So glad that this talented player is back again!

Such a legend, coming back like this. The consistency of his talent and skills, is unique, even if he came back as a 40 year old, he would probably still be great. If he continues in that style, this year will definately belong to Eriksen all over the football world. That's real legend stuff right there.

As a Dutch I basically do not see Danes as foreigners period. They are not Dutch but they are surely not foreign at all. From the Danes I know who live here in NL of some no one actually realised they were Danish at all. I mean, I am talking about coworkers. Try that with Flemish or Germans.

@@Serenoj69 Im a Dane, Whenever i have seen a tournament we always hope both Denmark and Netherlands do well, and if we have get a knock out from a tournament we always hope for Netherlands to win. We have big respect for Holland as we say here, you played well as usual and what a legendary moment of history, Christian Eriksen returning to football on his Home Field and then he scores a legendary goal and i believe both dutch and danish fans enjoyed that goal.

For about ten minutes or so in the second half Denmark had most possession with threatening pass to space runs. It was after eriksen goal and indeed Holland was lucky to escape few times missed shot of targets.
